thank you so much, I've always had issues with recent Logitech mice and it was frustrating to see a brand new product work but not get recognised by their own software; thank you so much !
You did it !!! After days of trying to get the receiver recognized even after calling Logitech with no results - ! It was this video that made it work !!! thank you !!!!! Before your video here - it has been brutal !! thanks so much. 5 stars !!!!!
Many thanks, having spent 3 days trying to solve this issue with many non successful ideas you solved it straight away ! K800 keyboard + MX Master mouse. Next time I will come straight to you. Cheers. Mike
Hi, I was having the same problem with windows 11 I also use IObit. I found the easiest way to fix the problem was to uninstall Logitech Options and install Logitech Setpoint...Without doing anything else that fixed the problem and IObit didn't try and replace the driver. You can then reinstall Options if you want. Cheers
Thank you. You saved my keyboard from an instant death by knee. This is such a weird circumstance though. You would think that something as simple as a wireless device wouldn't have problems like this. I have 3 computers running windows 10 and only one would work with the unifying software/options. What really was making me mad is that my brand new home built Ryzen 5900x rig was having this problem. Sometimes I could type, sometimes I couldn't. The mouse almost always worked, but sometimes I would have to smash many keys at once to get the KB to work. Sometimes I would type something and it would take 10 seconds to show up on the screen.
Great advise... got so frustrated with my Logitech MX mouse after a driver "UPDATE" Now all fine as usual... Unfortunately bought a new reciever... Well, will book it on the learning curve account....
you are an angel, they way you talk, at first i was sceptic about your guide but i went through it and it worked!!! i was considering formating my pc so i could go back using logitech options on my k400+. please let me support you, ill be a member
Should the steps you just showed us work in place of Logitech Unifying Software? I use 2 mice and 2 keyboards on my laptop (at work and home) so I don't have to transport all that "crap" around. I'd like to delete any un-needed software, if it is safe to do so. Thanks for the informative video!
Honestly, I'm not sure since I made this video quite a while back. I pretty much just use Logi Options+ now since it's the successor to Logitech Options and it seems to work fine on its own with my Logitech K400 Plus.
Should Logitech recievers work with any Logitech keyboard\mouse, or are they unique to the the keyboard\mouse that they came with? I have a MK320 keyboard/mouse combo that's missing its reciever that I'm trying to get working. I have nine recievers with Logitech's name on them. I am using the Logitech connection utiltiy. The connection utility does not recognize over half of the recievers as even being Logitech, even though the recievers have Logitech's name on them. I'm on the verge of NEVER buying anymore wireless Logitech keyboard or mouse again.
It's not universal, no. The Unifying receiver was used as the dongle for a lot of RF or 2.4g wireless devices by Logitech, so there is a chance a recognized receiver will work with other devices, but only if those devices used the Unifying Receiver as their primary mode of communication. Also, I've seen some knock-off receivers on Amazon that are definitely not actual Logitech products.
@@TheFartsandCrapsShow Does each Logitech reciever only work with a single specific Logitech keyboard/mouse? I have nine Logitech branded recievers that don't work with any Logitech keyboards or mice. Five of the nine recievers are not even recognized by the Logitech utility. I'm fed up with logitech, so I'll use any other brand.
WOW dude @Farts and Crafts, I love your voice, you should start a Narration channel on here, I would tune the Fuck in for every video I guarantee it!! You got one hell of a voice!!
Aww, thank you so much! I do all the VO for certain series, mostly for games that don't have voice acting, like the current Paper Mario playthrough. Again, and very sincerely, thank you. That really means a lot to me. I really try my best to make sure the audio is good and listenable for every video.
@@TheFartsandCrapsShow By the way I got my K400R Keyboard working, it detected the receiver finally and after changing the batteries the Keyboard works, but with some strange results. I have no T, or W Keys, and no Right Click, Also the upper left button for a Left Click does not work, not sure it that is a setting or maybe the keyboard is broken, but I really got it to do what I needed and that is left Click on a RUclips video while I am on the set remotely from the actual keyboard. My brother and I are doing some Reaction videos and I have the Elgato stream deck to switch scenes in OBS, work Voicemod and the soundboard, but needed to be able to click the video to start playing it in order to start it without leaving frame to go to the USB attached Keyboard. My Studio is a weird setup. Huge Green Screen behind us, a Table with a Mic and mixer in between us and the big 85 Studios Sign behind us on the Green screen, I also chose a Brick Wall as the background and added in some effects from Stream Elements I converted over.
Man, your procedure looks legit but doesn't work for me. That damned driver "fixer" I run, probably messed up all the USB ports dirvers also. Do you have any other advices to make it work?
Not exactly. Logitech did send me an email that they were discontinuing Logitech Options, and users should move to Logi Options+. That's what I use now, and it works fine. But yes, sometimes 3rd party driver programs can be the cause of similar issues.
Can I connect my mouse without a receiver I lost it and I installed Logitech unifying receiver and it is saying to first connect any receiver ...So it is possible to set up that without a receiver??
Probably not. The Logitech devices that use the Unifying Receiver tend to need it, but thankfully, you can get the receiver by itself on Amazon last time I checked.
Seeing "No Unifying Receiver", but the mouse works out of the box. However, I need the unifying receiver and mouse to show up in Logitech Options only so I can customize the buttons. Ran Driver Booster, updated all drivers F'd around for a long time and Options finally saw unifying receiver and detected MX Master 3 mouse Everything worked Ran Driver Booster again and then it wanted to update two "Human Interface devices" drivers Do I have to remember to uncheck both of those every single time I run Driver Booster?
Everything was working fine until i updated all the drivers on my comp using driver booster, now it wont identify the receiver, i tried doing the steps shown but it still doesn't work.
my unifying receiver doesnt come up in the control panel, device manager or even in the hidden hidden devices section of the device manager. Its also not detected in the logitech unifying software or the logitech options. Any help?
Maybe boot without the receiver, open the Logitech Options installer, then plug in the unifying receiver and see if it installs properly? Other than that, I'm a little stumped. Best of luck!
My "Disable Device" button is grayed out (So is the "Roll Back Driver" Button) and I can't select it in the Device manager stage. Please can I have some help? Thanks for making a Video about this, everything else I've tried hasn't worked
It sounds like maybe there isn't a driver installed, but it could be a completely separate problem. Maybe download the Logitech Options installer fresh and reinstall?
@@TheFartsandCrapsShow I truly appreciate the reply. Was able to fix it a different way. Here's what worked for me. 1. it solved the issue with the usb receiver. however in the next step it couldn't recognize my mouse. after much trial and error I realised that putting my mouse in pairing mode and then flicking the on-off switch helped. it's working fine now and is showing up in the logi options app.
Thank you. I guess disabling auto installation in windows settings did the trick in my case. Other steps were a little different but after the pain everything wirks fine now.
I have that keyboard when I lay down in bed and watch videos. As for mine I have a STeelseries Apex 3 and a Sensei 310 I liek the keyboard even though I cannot do individual keys with a specific color like I could with Corsair. I may need a bigger mouse though as my arthritis is getting worse. Maybe a rival 500
Yeah, I feel that. I've had RA for roughly 15 years now, and I've found a daily suppliment of turmeric and ginger root really helps. Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you have a great week.
