The problem here is this wildly overstates the drop in reality the drop on this rollercoaster is only about 70 or 80 feet. You are beginning to curve as you drop through the portal. It’s just you can’t see it. This is why the original smoke style effect on the edge of the portal you only dropped may be 15 feet beyond that edge and then the right curves downwards before banking.

Umm yeah no, we know the stats, it's a 180 feet drop, just look at Diving Machine G5 in Taiwan which is a mirrored clone of Oblivion.
