MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE BAND!!! RIOT WAS SO FUKING UNDERRATED IT WASNT EVEN FUNNY...THEY NEVER GOT THE BREAK THEY SO DESERVED!!! THE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WAY BIGGER THAN THEY WERE!!! I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE THEM LIVE WITH THE ORINGINAL LINE UP..WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO HAVE SEEN THEM BACK IN THE DAY!!! THEY STILL PLAY..BUT THERE IS NO ORIGINAL MEMBERS LEFT...THE NEW LINE UP WENT A LITTLE TO HEAVY FOR ME , BUT RIOT WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE BAND..NO MATTER WHAT... JUST WISH THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE BREAK THEY SO WELL DESERVED!!!! LONG LIVE "RIOT"!!!! """SHINE ON"""🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
right. i wish i had learned of them before this album. heavy metal machine being played on the local station was all it took. one of the greatest underrated rock bands ever. actually love their older material the best.
My favorite Riot album, and this song kicks some serious ass. Rhett leads the charge into battle with scorching guitar compliments of Mark Reale and pounding drums from Sandy Slavin. I never get tired of this song and never will!!!
Awesome! Loved this version with the Big Man Rhett fronting the band with Mark! Saw them many times in the NY circuits of clubs. Still miss Mark and Rhett to this day! Awesome band that should have been much much bigger!
I used to see "Rett Forrester" in the early 80's at the "Soap Factory" in Fort Lee, NJ in a band called Rachel before he was in "Riot" He was a very cool guy!
Palisades park. Killer venue.. Rhett and walter the drummer were my friends.. rachel would pack that place on a sunday night...hard lovin man cia vigilante killer.. loan shark.. were rachel tunes....
@@Rhettro1000 damn! Can you tell us more about Rachel? I am really into Rhett Forrester and Riot and want to know about that band, greetings my friend.
Rachel was a band that always playing the ny circuit youd see them all over but my favorite was the soap factory the band had a change up of a guitarist .. and they kicked ass.. then Rhett sent a demo to riot i first saw them at l amours in Brooklyn then cpl others places but the spectrum was awesome.. we drank partied alot wish he was still here.. hung out at the rachel mansion as they called then in queens ..gave me a demo of gone with the wind ect but hard loving man and the songs above were done when he was in rachel @@jisuscrayst6667
Saw them on the Restless Breed tour in Toronto at the El Macombo. Rhett and the boys kicked ass that night. Exiter opened with their speed metal set. Almost 40 years ago. Damn.
1983!! This kicks some SERIOUS ass!! Rhett Forrester is one of the VERY BEST vocalists of all time. Check out his video 'Assume The Position' from 1988. It's only the 2nd half of the video, but kicks ass too. The rebelious boy with the long blonde hair at the start of this video reminds me of the boy who escapes from the authorities in the Keel video 'The Right To Rock'. Love how the boy in this video ties up his teacher and head master and shows them who's BOSS!! lol.
This is my favorite Riot song, it's just so badass! Rhett Forrester is an awesome singer with an amazing style. Also, Sandy Slavin is a BEAST on the drums, he is so damn good with his drum parts. His drum part for this song sets the tone!
It was because of line up instability, changed their style many times and the most important: poorly managed. There's an awesome documentary on RUclips about them, I recommend watching it! It's a shame they never made it to the bigger leagues
Love the surf guitar bit at 2:45 Surf guitar was definitely an early form of metal music and it was completely BORN IN AMERICA 🇺🇸 No other country invented surf guitar music
My lord...there was a video for this song!! Awesome. BTW, does anyone else think the seal mascot was a bad move? Eddie. Murray. Vic Rattlehead. And........Seal guy.
Saw them open for KISS on this tour!..I was so stoked!..been into RIOT since the day ‘Fire Down Under’was released ,.still listen to them at least once a week.🤘🏼🖤🤙🏼X
Rhett had that same attitude Dave mustaine had back in the day that's what led Rhett to his death people tried to car jack him in Atlanta and he refused and got shot for it! R.I.P. Rhett🤘
They were better then Twisted Sister or Quiet Riot but never got the same exposure or sales tragically. Well known in 80s HM scenes in Britain, Australia etc but totally unknown to most Americans at the time, Ridiculous!
I love Riot but that goddamn seal mascotte is so damn campy... it ruined the album covers and the end of this video is too campy... no wonder that this band is so overlooked and underrated despite their masterpieces.
You littarly think they we're overlooked because of the sea?!! They were overlooked because 99% of music critics are morons with no true knowledge of what truly good music is i saw Riot open for Rush and Ozzy in 82 and 83 and blew them both off the stage
Skool..waste of time...Ive read all the classics since ive left...they restricted our generation to boring titles for exams like Great Expectations..nowadays kids get to pick Dracula, Moby dick, Count of Monte Cristo , Robinson Crusoe etc.I learned to count on pool tables..dart boards and increased my vocabulary by reading Marvel comicbooks.Learned more about life living it than I ever did cooped up in that prison, feeling hung up wearing a striped cloth noose around my neck in ilfitting pants bein told constantly to sit up straight and get my hair cut..lol ..music knowledge there was restricted to the long dead. In those days a guitar was viewed like an inverted cross to teachers..never looked back the day I left tbt.....lol..
Modern skool is the encyclopedia of rock and lets face it..that sucks to..coz you wont find reference to ANY bands as great as this in there...lol..Punk trash...and depressing english bands singing depressing love songs...lol
One of the best American metal bands ever.
HELL YES I AGREE RIOT 4 LIFE
YYYEAH....

100% correct. Very very underrated. Mark Reale and anyone in riot always had a great sound.
Most under-rated band ever!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP RHETT !! Long live your music.
It’s phenomenal how much the singer can change the whole sound and land scape of the band!Riot was born again with Rhett forrester.
Guy was good too.
@@lesreisinger1589 so was Tony Moore. Basically all singers were good from the albums I have heard.

Known Rhett since the 60's, sat next to each other in chorus, always kept the other one cracked up...he was a Riot
It's The 4th Of July In 2023.Crankin It To Max!😅
Saw them open for KISS on their LICK It Up tour
Could this band be any more underrated?
I can usually rise above the bias and point to a reason why an otherwise good band never made it, but dammit, Riot deserved so much better.
It was because of line up instability, changed their style many times and the most important: poorly managed. There's an awesome documentary on RUclips about them, I recommend watching it!
It's a shame they never made it to the bigger leagues
They did make it big - in Japan
god damn i love this... this album is amazing and so is this track they are so criminally under appreciated
Rhett u are the best singer ever...
Great band. Early 80s in my Teens we had swords and drank Tequila
Best we had and I love metal.
Love the surf guitar bit at 2:45

Tremendous rock band that just got better with each recording..
It's a good song to listen to on the 4th of July. 😀👍🤘🎸
Who's up 4 this in 2018 ..... B I A ........ From Ontario Canada .... Riot ....
Followed them since 81
Don't forget Guy Esperranza
The best Riot singer, in my opinion. Best songs. Never the same after Guy.
Still kicks ass in 2021
did not even know they had a video for any of there songs? Saaaaalute!
Rhett had that same attitude Dave mustaine had back in the day that's what led Rhett to his death people tried to car jack him in Atlanta and he refused and got shot for it! R.I.P. Rhett🤘
kinda surreal seeing Rhett era Riot in a music video. cheesy ass video but I love Riot and this song.
most 80s vids are cheesy, i'd rather just see them just live with a set camera but the music is kick ass..
566 likes and 33 comments in 7 years. Wow the masses still have not learned have they? Shine on Warriors!
Last great album from Riot
Great band who never had the backing to make it big. This video’s budget is a prime example.
All 80s vids were cheesy as hell..
Kick ass stuff 🔥💀🔥 quite similar sounding to Saxon though on this song) 😲 dont know the rest of their stuff 🔥💀🔥🇬🇧
Lead singer sounds somewhat like Kevin Dubrow (RIP) from QR.
♥
NICE VIDEO😃👍
So killer
Metal as fucking iron!!!
You have to keep The riot going for Lou he definitely would want you guys to do that
ok..so sad! :(
Thats Gerry Trevino on second guitar not Ricky Ventura
Correct..top of the class man..well spotted
Saw him in brooklyn with riot that guy was killer
@@davidcrabbe1243 Well, Steve was Riot's manager at the time so he better spot the members of his band. LOL
Metal Rules
Long before the boss came up with born in the usa
Rhett was the real deal never understood why some Riot fans never embraced him I think it was the best singer they ever had.
A great singer. He became a legend by dying young. He should have stayed in "Riot". Here, he was at the top and nearless, a living legend.
RIP
Rhett on Thundersteel sure would have been interesting.
Rad
Who's the boy in the clip?
Going through some vinyl here and brough it up on youtube. Great music but terrible album covers - no one would know they sounded like this.
is that leaf garret?
sounds very similar to W.A.S.P. next year

Ridiculous!
dave mustaine on vocals? jaja looks like
Rhett Forrester a Dave Mustaine lookalike. I don't see it.
Looks a bit like David Coverdale!
Should have been huge talent was so obvious total music political BS GREEDY EXECS!!
