Manston Airport DCO approved

On Thursday 18th August 2022 the Government announced approval for a development consent order for Thanet's Manston Airport site. The plan is for an air cargo hub to open in 2025 and for freight planes to be taking off and landing over Ramsgate's town centre and tourist beach.
Ramsgate's Labour county councillor, Karen Constantine appeared on BBC South East's lunchtime news bulletin to voice concerns about the cargo hub proposals.
