  • If your flight gets delayed or canceled and the weather is not to blame, then U.S. airlines may soon have to compensate you. A new proposal from President Biden would require airlines to go beyond just a ticket refund. Brian Sumers, founder and editor of The Airline Observer, discusses what passengers can expect.

I keep saying it over and over and over and over again and again.
This country is using 110-year old system, and they will continue to use it, until people protest for change.
USA is in desperate need of MagLev train system and HyperLoop. But the country keeps saying its too expensive.
When ever USA government says (its too expensive) its their form of way to say. (We don't want to do it). This is why in 2024 will continue to feel like we are living in the 1970's.
Same crap just a different day. The boomers don't want to change anything even when we get to 2024 and 2025. 🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

The airlines are bsing, in Europe they've had the regulations in place for years yet people can fly from France to England for like $20. Here it costs at least $100 to fly from norcal to socal, airfare is too high in the US.

The White House press conference on this topic is like an informercial 😅 .... there's more....these is... I am liking the news on new travel compensation. South West needs to compensate the passengers in December. If they hav an up date system, they will be prepared.
My plasent experience during the Turkish airline over booking in Istanbul in 2015 was when they asked for volunteers to be rebook. I was on vacation so i was totally ok with staying 1 night in Istanbul merriot instead of my Rome hostel 😅. I also got a free city tour with breakfast for my long layover by choice.
Airlines don't like when the government tell them what to do to help passenger, but they bag for subsidies during COVID-19 or financial crisis of 2008.

People need to stop using airlines, if they decide to hike up the prices purposefully to be spiteful.
Airlines need to get their act together and stop the damn delays and cancellations. As well as throwing people off the plane after the airline purposefully over booked the plane.
SERIOUSLY. people need to stop using airlines.
But of course, people are going to do what people do and continue to use them, and this is why airlines know they can abuse people. 🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀
So the next time YOU are delayed or thrown off a plane because of overbooking. DON'T complain, Its your fault for continuing to use airlines knowing full well,
you could have stopped using it as a protest to get the airlines to behave. Until then, airlines will continue to abuse people. Because they can.
They will overcharge you by hiking up the price, because they can, because YOU allowed them to do that to YOU. 🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀

This is so stupid. Airlines were already doing this and MOST delays are due to maintenance or largely due to weather. What people don't realize, just because the weather at your destination and departure is great, that doesn't mean your crew or airplane were in those places and may have been stuck of delayed due to weather in another location, which causes a snowball affect.
Europe is not the 'gold standard'.
