I always loved those DC-8s when I was a kid especially the stretched ones the DC-8-63 & 63CF. Bloody magic.
I used to travel along this road to work. It was always a thrill to see a plane take off from there. Great view. 👍
The DC-8 sure is a screamer! That BA 787 must've been brand new back then!
If I remember correctly the BA 787 was performing crew training/familiarisation runs prior to entering into service so yes it would have been brand new.
An excellent collection, I look forward to seeing Manston open again!

Manston has a high chance of reopening. Thanet parkway station nearby can make the airport viable to open as it will have much better transport links. Save manston
some knobhead judge rejected the application though 😔
Yep, they definitely knew the airport was gonna re-open because we went to check out the station and they had a sign for “long-term parking” never seen a station with that sign before

It’s re-opening! I’m excited for this to be back because I live 10 mins away and normally I have to travel to city airport, Gatwick and Heathrow to plane spot
