Just wanted to say, I sat down to shoot this video on Tuesday morning... and by the end of the day, word came out about the horrible tragedy in Texas. Editing this video has been somewhat of a distraction during a very sad time... I can only imagine how those families are feeling. I discuss it a bit in my next video, but I just want to say, I believe something must change for the protection of our precious children and teachers. Shouldn't our lawmakers be willing to do WHATEVER it takes to keep them safe? If anyone watching this was connected to the victims of this shooting... I offer my sincerest condolences and I will continue to pray for you
It’s absolutely heartbreaking that our children aren’t safe in school any longer. My son is almost 15, and he can’t believe that in three years, he’ll be old enough to buy an assault rifle. He never will (thank god), but the thought is chilling nonetheless. Thanks for the distraction today Em… “makeup therapy” is real!😉
I live about 3 hours from Uvalde, but I don't know anyone there. I am a retired teacher who subs almost daily here in Bastrop County schools. It is a little scary nowadays.
As a mum to an 8 year old 3rd grader, hearing about what happened in Texas absolutely broke my heart. Having to discuss what happened with my daughter gutted me. God bless her, she's a very wise little girl, but she's a little girl nonetheless. Hardest conversation I've ever had to have with her. I absolutely love her school and all the faculty and staff there and reassured her she's very safe at school....as I swallowed the lump in my throat. 😟
Dearest Emily…thank you for this video. Just want to say I whole heartedly agree with your pinned comment. We must come together on this, our kids deserve it. Thank you for posting about it 💜 xx
Thank you Emily for your hard work that you put into each video post. I really appreciate your honest opinion and you one RUclipsr (out of many that I watch consistently) that I can trust your opinion on knowing your opinion is not being swayed due to any sponsorshipps etc. I have always really enjoyed your humble & practical approach on makeup looks we can use in daily life. Thanks again Emily.
My Thursday Emily fix is here!!! 😁 The level of your reviews are like no other! Always my #1 go to, I don’t trust anyone as much as you with reviews 💜 Also, How is your day so far? Always hope it’s going well 🤗
I get you Emily, yes, you're right about that area under the eye. I'm 62, and over the years that "area" does worsen in appearance/fullness. Great video!
Hi Emily. I've had some major mental health struggles this week and having your videos on in the background has been very grounding for me! So thank you for being you ❤️ Could we get an updated make up storage/collection/desk your please?
I think this trend towards minimalistic coverage products is a bit too 'emperors new clothes' for my frugal self. :) Much ado about something that's more or less invisible. It's so easy to add some serum to any foundation to thin itout and get a more sheer look if that's what you like. My eye bag tip is to pat on algenist colour corrector in medium, very peach, just in the dark crescent. Then I use the new tarte concealer in 20B, on the undereye area. If I use a pale concealer and no colour corrector the eye bag will show. My eye cream is the Clarins eye lift and that works wonders. I'm 61, your shade twin, and my dark eye bags are about 95 percent covered using this method. Finger tapping only, no brushes, and minimal product. Powder just makes my wrinkles more prominent. Such honest in depth reviews Emily - you are the best of the best. Love you!
Hi Emily! Thanks for the intro to Saie beauty! I’d love if you updated your tinted moisturizer video, or if you could review the new(ish) Rare Beauty TM, and the Rose Inc Luminous Skin Serum Foundation! Have a wonderful Thursday!
The bag of cotton balls as package padding is genius! I have yet to try anything from Saie. I might have a sample or two buried in a vanity desk drawer. I have combo-oily skin. I find that the elf Stay All Night setting spray over the Fenty loose power keeps my face shine-free and feeling like velvet all day.
The amount of work u are putting in these videos is sooo appreciated . Love you and thanks a lot You are the favorite person always and forever and dearest to heart🍡🍓🍧🎉🥰🥰💖♥️❤️❤️🌙🫂
Gosh. Thank you for investing in all the Siae products and giving us your honest review. I have the highlighting serum thing and their blush both items you used in this video and I like them enough to wonder if I would like their other products. This review helped me with that decision 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have the bronzer and really like it. I enjoy that it takes some building up, because it keeps me from overdoing it and looking muddy. I think mine is a lighter shade.
I love all of the Saie coverage products! I agree with the thing you said about them not wanting to set. I feel like by mid day everything is still there but my face looks like I didn’t powder. I have discovered with this that I have can skip moisturizer because the skin tint is so hydrating.
Hi Emily, just wanted to say you’re so right about what happens to the under eye area as we age. I’ve always had a problem with dark circles, but recently it’s become almost impossible to cover (build up?) the shadows. I’m 69 now so, it’s not going to get any better is it? Lol Thank you for mentioning the latest horrible tragedy. I don’t even know what to say anymore. 😔😥
Like Emily mentioned early on in video about around 1 year ago posting a video comparing the tinted moisturizers, bb creams and cc creams based on their coverage level and dewy to matte finish ...I think another video would be extremely helpful this season as so many base coverage products with spf that be released this year I can't decide which would be best for me.
Emily, so happy to see you covering clean beauty! Been watching you for 8 years & patiently waiting for this day 💕 such a great review, can’t wait to hear your thoughts on other clean brands like Fitglow!
Wayne Goss taught us a brilliant trick to conceal the shadows we get under our eyes. *Apply your concealer of choice, just like you do everyday. *then go in with a concealer that’s 1-2 shades lighter than the one you just applied. With a small brush, paint it on the shadows only. Then GENTLY pat the concealer in, keeping it confined to the dark areas of your under eye. *Then powder like usual, or don’t, if you don’t wear powder. This trick not only conceals the shadow, it visually flattens and smooths the under eye;) Good luck💜
I purchased the Laura Mercie concealer and highlighting stick right after I saw his video on this tip!! Thank God we have folks like Wayne Goss and Emily to guide us through 🥹🤓
@@candyce6233 I know right!?!? So the LM concealer stick you mentioned, is it the one with two shades, one on either end? If it works with Wayne’s tip, I’ll have to try it! Thanks😉
Really great try-on and review. I haven't bought anything from them, yet. I would love to see how the powder and concealer interact with another foundation. So much color with a dot of blush, nice!
ONE EYESHADOW!!! Fantastic!!! Wish you would do a whole video on this, using various different shadows to give different looks but with just a single shadow.
This brand seems to be made for people with very dry skin, like me, and for people who don't want any heavy makeup on their face. I would use the skin slip because I hate wearing foundation, I usually wear a tinted moisturizer and a little blush and mascara, I hate putting on heavy makeup every day, I usually go without makeup until the weekend. I'm getting older and my skin is so dry, so anything that makes my face feel moisturized, I'm all for it. You don't want to put anything shiny on your face if you're trying to hide dark spots or eye bags, it will always make it look worse, you always want to keep those areas matte, not shiny. I have bags under my eyes and I can't use anything shiny under my eyes. I would love to put on all these highlighters on, but I can't, I have to keep them away from my eyes. I have to use matte eyeshadows too, if I put a shiny eyeshadow on my eyes it just makes my wrinkles show up more. It sucks getting older. LOL
Yes. I’m 50 and you explained my eye area to a tee!! I always use the Elf concealer there. My wrinkles still show but it covers the darkness/discoloration well. I would love to get filler there but I wouldn’t have to do it every few months. ♥️. Thanks for your great explanation.
My dark circles are hereditary. Never even knew what concealer was during the time I was young enough to take advantage of its benefits. Drat! Now I am 62 (Gulp! That’s hard to write and even more difficult to wrap my head around-but at least I am here to say it!) and it’s really too late to take advantage of what concealer is purposed for. If I have to choose between looking more crepey or having dark circles…. I guess I will let heredity rule.
Em, you're gorgeous inside and out! And I agree, we need people who are willing to do whatever it takes to protect our children! Today was the last day of school here in IN and I had to send my 1st grader and my preschooler to school while I held my breath that we'd make it through the school year without a tragedy. My heart aches for those poor families and that community.
You really are the best on You Tube! I’m not quite as interested in drugstore products as you are, but that doesn’t even matter. I’ve been so into the light, natural look and liquid, or cream for whatever reason. I’ve cut down on watching makeup related videos, basically due to well, not wearing it as much after being home more(yay for work from home!), but Indo absolutely love makeup and the process of putting it on. I have to be very selective now as I found out that my face and neck are allergic to fragrance. It’s a challenge to find products without fragrance and I love the Saie blush, so I’m excited to try a few more products!
Emily, the pinned comment was so beautiful and heartfelt. I have a little guy starting Kindergarten next year and this worries me so much!!! Something has got to change! My thoughts and prayers are with all that are suffering from this senseless act. I will never understand how anyone, mental health issues or not, could shoot anyone much less innocent young children. 💔💔
Emily, I really appreciate your take on this brand. I see so many creators go on about how wonderful these products are so when they don't work out for me I feel I have done something wrong. You are honest and fair and I thought "thank you!. It's not just me!". Much love to you ❤️
Yes yes yes! I needed some Em in my day today 🥳 🙌🏼 Even though I’m a full-coverage gal, I’m all for a lighter, summer makeup. Healthy and glowy skin FTW✨🩴🌞 Happy holiday weekend eve 😎💝🌼
Great video, Em! As always, you got your point across very clearly! 🙂 I love that in telling us why you might not like one thing or another, you also tell us why we might indeed prefer it! Like you said, we all have our own preferences! :-) Thanks for another well thought out and beautifully done video! 🥰 Sending Love From Boston! 💙
#EmilyNoel there's no better. You're so right things have to change. We have to be able to feel safe when dropping our babies off at school. Truly sickening feeling to think of these poor angels going to learn and being shot down for nothing. Terrible just truly awful. Yall please hit the like button on this video this woman deserves it so much. Her truly love of makeup love of ppl is so well worth it. She's just great in all she does. I couldn't imagine having to learn how to live without a love one 💔 for going to school. So sad 😞 my heart goes out to you all.
Emily, I agree with you about this tragedy and our lawmakers. My kids are in their 20s now, but I still worry about them being out and about in this world. However, the little ones really need to be protected. On a lighter note, I appreciated your review. I've not tried this brand yet. I like how the blush performed for you. And now, I just want to send out hugs to all of our fellow parents, to all of our children, and all of those affected by this and past tragedies like this one. xoxo
Don't worry. Your explanation always makes sense. Clear, concise & logical. You are definitely underrated. Why doesn't more people follow you worries me a bit.
I was curious about this brand, I definitely want to try the loose powder and the mascaras from this brand. I don't usually use a lot of cream products because they don't sit well with my oily skin, but that blush looks amazing.
I pair my dewy tinted moisturizers with powder foundation over top like the Loreal true match to take down shine and extend the wear! Great over a tinted sunscreen too
I Emily, I understand exactly what you are saying about the under eye. You are making lots of sense. I think it is really the products that are not performing under your eyes. Over all I think it would work for a very light day. Thanks for your great reviews as always Emily and we love you.
I was curious as to what you’d say about the bronzer! I bought the Tantour on your recommendation and love it ❤️ As a whole.. this oily skinned girl most likely would not get along with three products. Thanks Emily!
I actually love the Saie powder! It's my favorite powder ever, but I have dry textured skin so I generally hate powders. It just looks so beautiful and blurring on me and doesn't dry me out at all. I always go "oooohhhh!" When I put it on, it looks so good.
I love the saie lip balm under my mask during the height of pandemic rules - at least my lips were pillowy soft after! An underrated gem 💎. Thanks for the run down!
"Do you want this pan of brownie cookie dough? ... Well, yeah..." LOL! Same girl, same! Thanks for this review. I have a few samples from Saie, but was unfamiliar with most of these items.
I am 39 and agree completely that too much dew makes my under eyes look deeper. I am way to oily for most of this but watched it anyways because you’re my fav
Hey Em! Love seeing you weekly! Just curious could you do a video of ranking the best cream and liquid blush for money taking into account pigmentation light to full from both drug store and high end ? I’m new to cream and liquid blush and I always trust your knowledge and feedback! Thank you ! Happy Friday Eve :)
Ahhh been waiting to see your video today. Colourpop released a new palette and I swear it’s your Emily edit palette you created with makeup Revolution. I plan on pulling mine out to use tomorrow.
Hello My Beautiful Friend Emily. Just wanted you to know that I adore you I’m super late to the video (5 hours 😩) I’ve been trying to clean out some stuff in my apartment. I want to give it a refresh. I feel like I moved in so quickly I have to clear out some more things. Thank you for this and every video you do. They are always awesome and comforting in these crazy times.
I use the saie liquid highlight as a mix in to my more matte foundations. It gives a beautiful natural glow. Sometimes I tap it over top as well. I'm preferring the essence nude glow highlighter powder you recommended as my main highlight though. It's very natural and pretty.
I am loving this brand. I agree I tend to mix and match Saie with my other products. I like the glowy primer with my Estée Lauder DW Sheer and the Slip Tint with my Rose Inc Concealer.
I agree with you Emily! I have the cream bronzer and I do like it but have others like Rare Beauty and Persona sticks I like even better….just ordered the new Charlotte Tilbury too! I love the glowy primer, blush that I have in Rosy and the lip balm. The concealer in shade 2 is just ok for me for light coverage days and not a great shade match for me. I have dry skin. Thanks so much for your great review!!
I also enjoy the skin tint for a quick everyday look,, love the blush, bronzer and the liquid highlighter. I have normal skin and had to use the Huda powder to set this face💜
I am dying to try this blush and the glowy super gel. I’ve seen ppl all over TikTok mixing them together before applying. I do have darkness under my eyes that I like to cover but can also enjoy a lighter coverage for day to day if it doesn’t get crusty. These days it almost feels like I have to choose between enough coverage/staying power and the inevitable crusty look I get after a few hours of wear with a lot of concealers/after setting with powder. All that to say, I’m intrigued by this concealer so it’s a maybe for me.
Thank you for saying something despite how your statement may be polarizing. Thank you for a lovely video to brighten my day! I wish you and your family all the happiness and health!! 🧡
I have oily skin and I use a mattifying primer underneath the Saie Slip Tint.wear it with the Mac Studio fix powder and at the end the Joah Blurr fection setting powder. I use s setting spray. However, I do get oily too about half way through the day and have to blot and powder. Then, it's fine the rest of the day. It is natural and glowy looking. I wouldn't wear this on a really hot day. It would definitely melt away. 🤭 I like the Saie Dew blush. I wear it with lots of other foundations. The lip gloss is nice too.
Emily what self tanners do you recommend? I’ve been having trouble finding one that compliments me. We have similar skin tones so any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks 😊
Hi Emily, have you heard bite beauty is going out of business? 😢 I was just in Sephora to buy some of their lipsticks since you’ve raved about it and I’ve never tried it. A girl was looking for saie though when I was there. Do you have any other recommendations from bite beauty before they close?
I definitely think that a lot of makeup products and techniques are designed for younger skin. I am 56 and on the one and only morning I tried the lightest amount of highlighter with a new blush, I asked my husband if the blush was too bright and he said the blush looked good but my eye pouches were kind of shiny. I said "I have eye pouches!?" and he said "yeah, especially in the morning". That's when I knew he was a real friend to tell me the truth and that highlighter might not be for me!
Hey Emily! Not sure I would use any of these products except for the blush according to your review, I would not buy any of the products I would consider the blush! The tragedy in Texas was horrendous and horrific I don't know what the lawmakers are going to do to protect our children in the school systems something has to be done This is become the norm and that's so wrong!! I can't imagine what those families are going through. Love to you Em!💜💜🌸🌸💄💄
You've mentioned a few powders that wong take you too far.. what is one you think would go too far in your opinion? Cause I'm super oily and feel like I have to keep dipping in the pressed powder you use regularly. ( rimmel stay matte?)
The bright under the eye concealer is not my favorite. Our dog bit me on the cheek as a child. I had a great plastic surgeon who was on call that night so there’s barely a scar - but covering it is my concern so that brightening under my eyes doesn’t look right to me.
When I was reading your comment I got goosebumps. When I was 14, coming home from church I was in a major car accident, going through the windshield. I suffered major damage to my mouth and nose, along with my forehead and neck. But God was watching over me. An ER doctor was on his way out the door after working a full shift, but when they wheeled me in he caught a glimpse of me and headed right back in to take on the task of stitching me up. Two hours later, his amazing skills, extreme patience and dedication to the job resulted in what could only be considered a miracle. Yes, my nose isn’t like the one I was born with and my lips are shaped differently than they were before this happened, and I am scarred. But I still look very human, I can breathe normally, and lipstick has always been a joy to apply-as the surgeon provided me with the Cupid’s bow I had never really had!! I enjoy a full coverage look, but have never shied away from a light one either. I am not self conscious at all. (Sometimes when I see my face) I am reminded of that night and I automatically think about what my future could have been, if not for that unselfish, caring and talented individual. He literally changed my life!
@@conmart02 glad you were okay. That sounds so scary. we went to the local ER and the doctor said she could stitch it up but that the best plastic surgeon was on call for a hospital across town. It wasn’t a matter of saving me but the ER Doctor said she didn’t want me to notice it at big events in the future. I’m grateful because yes only I can see them. I like full coverage as well. I’m wearing less makeup now that I work from home though.
@@gojl5567 Thanks kindly for responding back. (And hopefully I didn’t originally come across as being melodramatic in any way). Just felt a sincere connection with you and your story-as it’s one that might not be all that common. In the end, we were both lucky to have medical professionals that cared. God Bless them!

God bless us all now and always please please put your hands around all those innocent 😇 angels families please help them all learn how to go on. I couldn't imagine having to learn how to live without a love one 💔 for going to school. So sad 😞 my heart goes out to you all.
I definitely understand the lack of fullness under the eyes. I have started bringing my concealer down a little bit further to combat it
Emily, you called it on the “hollows” under the eyes as we age. I never thought about it that way till now, but I’m definitely experiencing it!
The side close up really accentuated how much you and Pup look alike! Love it!
I actually watched the video for the kit and ended up ordering it of course and it was a great buy very good value!
I don't usually use a lot of cream products because they don't sit well with my oily skin, but that blush looks amazing.
yeah the bush is my favorite!! :D
I pair my dewy tinted moisturizers with powder foundation over top like the Loreal true match to take down shine and extend the wear! Great over a tinted sunscreen too
Your videos make me happy
A great OG video. Worth a view just for the education!!!!! You are wonderful in the school pickup line. A good mum. Happy Thursday! 🎉🥑💐🎈Lynn
Emily, your BB and CC video is EPIC!!
Perfect timing on this video, I was just on their website contemplating ordering, I might just stick with the slip tint.
I do like seeing skin showing through.😍
I love the saie lip balm under my mask during the height of pandemic rules - at least my lips were pillowy soft after! An underrated gem 💎. Thanks for the run down!
I am really liking their Glowy base , it played very well with my different foundations that I use .
I’m watching you use the duel ended ELF brush, why haven’t I bought that? Oh there it is still in the package!🙄
It's so good! I should have been using it more all along! :)
The whole being coerced into the dominoes brownies had me cracking up 🤣🤣
"Do you want this pan of brownie cookie dough?
Emily you make any makeup look beautiful.
Hello My Beautiful Friend Emily. Just wanted you to know that I adore you
I’m super late to the video (5 hours 😩) I’ve been trying to clean out some stuff in my apartment. I want to give it a refresh. I feel like I moved in so quickly I have to clear out some more things.
Thank you for this and every video you do. They are always awesome and comforting in these crazy times.
Wow! I’m so early! Love your content, Em. ❤️ It’s lovely to enjoy new make up with you and with my coffee while I recover from the plague. 😉
aww thank you for watching!!
Oooh, I love that one eyeshadow shade
Never buy a new line without watching Emily's take first!
I like the Saie Dew blush. I wear it with lots of other foundations. The lip gloss is nice too.
Beautiful dewy complexion! Thank you Emily! 🙏🏻😇
The best concealer for hollowness is the kosas concealer imo.
Emily what self tanners do you recommend? I’ve been having trouble finding one that compliments me. We have similar skin tones so any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks 😊
So true, I don't have dark circles...I have hollows that create shadows under my eyes. It only gets worse as we age!
Hi Emily, have you heard bite beauty is going out of business? 😢 I was just in Sephora to buy some of their lipsticks since you’ve raved about it and I’ve never tried it. A girl was looking for saie though when I was there. Do you have any other recommendations from bite beauty before they close?
Thanks for the review… I’m sad I have to worry about wrinkles and stuff now lol
I have used the Saie mascara and it is definetly a winner, great video, I am happy to see you review the skin tint, a pass for me.
I agree that the Saie products do best when paired with other clean products from Ilia, Kosas,Milk, and Merit
Home with COVID so I’m here for the distraction. Have a great day, Emily! 😊
Me too! ❤️
Hope you feel better soon! 🌷
I hope you feel better soon!!
I hope you feel better very soon! 💜
EM :This powder is light as air
Me/w my super dry skin "GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!"
Thanks for another great video. Tami
The powder looks interesting, I wonder how it compares to the NARS and Rare Beauty loose setting powders.
I do like a tinted moisturizer but I prefer to add a foundation under it. And I start out with a 50 SPF face moisturizer
Tried the sun melt and the rosy blush , just too warm and orange for me.
I have been mixing the Saje Glowy Gel with my Estee Lauder Double Ware, So nice and lasting.
After the news, I literally thought, “I wish Emily would upload an extra or early video!” I watched some old Trixie Mattel videos to occupy myself.
I was thinking that skin tint would be a great mix in to some more matte foundations when one wants just a little bit more glow.
Thanks for another great video; a welcome distraction in a very tragic time.
Hey that Kosas powder… did you have to scrape the top? It seems like anything I buy that’s baked I have to scrape the top layer. 🤔
I'd heard people saying they did, but I definitely didn't need to!
U r really making sense em.
Hey Emily 🌸
You've mentioned a few powders that wong take you too far.. what is one you think would go too far in your opinion? Cause I'm super oily and feel like I have to keep dipping in the pressed powder you use regularly. ( rimmel stay matte?)
I’m 53 yep, I sure am hollow. Lol
love your video ♥
