Hurray! I have the #1 choice 🎉 I do love the carbothello pastel pencils. I mark the color # with a sharpie marker right off, sincr it can be hard to read
This has been so helpful thank you I’m at a stage where I’m ready to invest in a professional set of pastel pencils and I had no idea which to buy. I think I’m going to go for the carbothello to start with thank you
My top too and my second depending on subject matter is the FB Pitt, I often use both and both are open so I don't have to worry if I use one colour more than others.
I haven't tried the carbothello but I've been considering buying them for a while now. I have the pitt pastels and like how they feel to use, the Derwent pastel pencils can be a bit scratchy but I love their range of coloured pencils.
i use a combination or derwent, carbethelo and pitt pastels along with pan pastels. I started out with just derwent (36 pack) as they had a good range of colours for wildlife
I've got the full sets of CarnOthello, Pitt, Creta Color and Caran D'Ache. My favourite is CarbOthello as well (most versatile and beautiful colors), followed by Pitt (for details), then Caran D'Ache (they are good for bigger parts of the drawing / background and the white and black are better than all the others). Creta Color has some nice colors as well and I got the full set for only 60 Euros on offer, I use them some times.
Jason Can you review the Bob Ross wildlife oil paint kit (comes with paint, brushes, and mediums) for me pls. Its on the bob ross website Love your basic brush set with rosemary and Co! Also, can you make a playlist all about the supplies you use
Conte a Paris ?the Carant ache are very expensive very good but still you can find a pencil that breaks all the time to the end ! Gioconda are very good and cheap as well
I've got a dozen each of Pitt and Carbothello, plus vintage prismapastel, conte a Paris, nd cretacolor pastel pencils. I bought 1 Caran D Ache white pencil and they are too expensive. Thanks for the review. The Carbothello full set is on my wish list.

cant go wrong with Carbothello

I started out using Conte a Paris. Any thoughts on them? I currently use the Carbothello. Thanks for the comparisons.
I like them, the main issue with Conte i sthe pencil is so thick it doesnt fit in 99.9 % of sharpeners.
