Just purchased the Tiger Cat 2, can't wait to put it to work!

Thank you for your business. ZERO plans to get rid of the Tiger Cat. Has been a true performer for us for A LOT of years. Will always continue to upgrade and make it better but no plans to get rid of it.
Just bought one, over kill for me as a homeowner, but I like quality tools. I figure it will be last mower I buy.

Is it true that if you get your clutch block system from skaggs it is designed where you have to have the side discharge Shoot connected still
Yes, our OCDC has the discharge chute built into the system in order to be ANSI compliant. More info available here: www.scag.com/ocdc.html
The long deck belt on my Scag Tiger Cat II keeps popping off the idler pulley and it shreds the belt. I took it to the dealer 2 hours away each way and they put another belt on and told me it was fixed. It came off again. It seems to happen after about 2 hours or so of continuous mowing time. I can't keep spending money on tearing up belts but it doesn't look like there is anything wrong with it. I told the dealer that I thought maybe the pulley was getting hot and warping after a couple hours running and they acted like that was impossible. Now they want me to drive it back over there and let them screw around with it for who know show long and then come back so I will have to make 2 more trips 2 hours each way. It is still under warranty so I want them to fix it but I don't think they have a clue what is wrong. I asked them if they have asked scag about it and he told me yes. I tried to call scag myself but couldn't find a number on their website. I'm so mad. I have grass up to my eyeballs. This was supposed to be one of the toughest and most dependable mowers money can buy and I'm up to my eyeballs in grass and still making payments. I only have about 120 hours on it. Does anybody have any ideas?!

Roc Righteous Abandoned Exploration I finally got to use it today cut on it for 3 hours and loved every second of it.
I wish my tiger cat 2 would cut that nice. It's only a year old and I always have to double cut since day one. It's always missing cuts. I keep taking it to the dealer and they can't figure out what's wrong. At first they said the issue I was having they have never heard of it but now more and more people are coming in complaining about the same issues

I love my new tiger cat 2. best machine I have ever used. I got the 61 inch 26.5 efi last May and its been great. Also I put the high lift blades you guys make on it and it improved the cut, discharge, stripe and fixed a blowout issue I was having behind the tire on the trim side of the deck with started blades. Last thing do you know if I could get an Electronic governor for my efi. I asked my dealer and he said he needed to ask Kohler and I still have not heard back. Thanks
This would be a question best directed towards Kohler. We are not aware of this being an option for that mower. We do appreciate your business and wish you all the best with your new STCII!
You guys should also make a stand on with the operator in between the tires now that the patent has expired. You should make one model that is extremely compact to complete with the wright stander intensity and give it the scag deck that is on the patriot with a bit more reinforcements around the spindles. It would be a lower level machine that the v-ride with 10cc pumps. Then you should make a scaled up version with 52 and 61 inch decks with the velocity plus deck and 12 or 16cc pumps to compete with the wright ZK.
you could also use the tiger cat frame as a starting point for the bigger stander but make it shorter obviously.
almost forgot you could even have the 48 and 52 of the bigger stander assume the name is the leopard have 12cc pumps and the 61 have the 16cc pumps and to go even beyond everyone else put a double tube frame on the 61 inch version.

Hi I'd like to buy a tigercat 2 with the 691fx motor and 52 inch deck. There are only two options for the 52 mower on the site. I ask because my dealer seems to be confused about the 691fx option. Can u confirm that mower catalog number as a 2754, with a model # STCII-52V-22FX
Those part numbers could have been setup at the distributor level as they are not valid unit part numbers on our end. The two different STCII models are as follows: 1) STCII-52V-22FX Kawasaki FX691V 2) STCII-52V-25CV-EFI Kohler ECV740. The dealer will order these units directly from their distributor.
We do see a customer contact as well from this morning with a similar question. That has been forwarded off to the local Sales rep who will be in contact with you and/or your local dealer to help resolve any confusion.

Im getting ready to buy 3 scags but i guarantee you if one of them has black on the seat like i have seen on some ps they will get returned. Anybody that puts black on a commercial seat has no idea what using a commercial mower is all about.
Good Morning and thank you for the feedback. All seats are now transitioning to the two-tone which does have side panels that are black with the center being brown. Seat temperature is something we did test prior to making the switch and the results did not present a concern.
@@ScagPowerEquipment Who did you all do the test with? Some guys in an office with suits and ties on? I can promise everyone at SCAG you are making a massive mistake by adding BLACK to a seat when we are working in over 100 degree heat indexes. This is actually insane. You all need to put a piece of plastic out in the sun when it's 100 degrees out and then place it on your back and let me know how you like it. That's where the black is on those pics ive seen. I will move my whole fleat over to Hustler if I cannot get a light colored seat.
How is this mower better than exmark

Would this be comparable to a exmark radius x? I priced this mower with Kawasaki and 61” deck for 9400 otd. But wanted to look at the exmark radius first.
You have to have a knowledge of mechanical equipment to see the difference. I'm a retired caterpillar mechanic so it's obvious to me that scags are better engineered, an higher quality.

Tiger Cat MSRP will be in the 10-11K range. We do currently as of the date of typing this have 2 national promo models that will be $8950 for a 52" and $9355 for a 61", both featuring a 26HP Kawasaki FT engine.

@@ScagPowerEquipment scag your warranty and customer support is the worst in the industry. I had to sell my scags and get john deere mowers . You could learn something from deere on customer service and support
