I had to send mine in for RA as well. It took two weeks unfortunately but I’m glad I got it back and SD reader has been working flawlessly for over a month

I did the same with mines and my sd card have been working really nice
Just DID send for RMA , they fixed in 5 working days and i get it back on wednesday with dpd delivery uk. I do agree they did it very quickly and mine had issue with fan, speaker and sd card including left joystick so i thought this will tskes more time but they actually been very quick with repairing. As far i know they changed my motherboard too etc , but i think they did change sd slot and put copper heatsink on too etc. Curious how long will last.
Did the fix hold or did the sd card just fail again?

@@somerandomhuman8405 newer ones with R8 and up may have fixed versions. I got open box and it’s R5 but so far so good
My r5 open box sd card didn’t work on day one. Excellent condition as well. Now I’m sending it to Asus for a fix.

Is the VRR noticable on the ROG ally compared to Legion go?
Mine on the way, snatch for half price in dkk, open boxed nearly unused condition.

I got my Ally day 1 on release, should I use my warranty service while I still have it?
When I first got it, Windows were broken and I had to do a clean restore on first use
The rog ally is better . It's overall smoother aller screen is better 1080 p 60 and even 120 fps.
How is your sd card this days? Planning to buy RoG ally
I had two same problem got so hot and they would turn off
I just ship back to asus for rma, i just shipped the handheld itself.

It’s simple. In my country there is a company providing the repair service for Asus. I entered on their website and filled a rma with the proof thatI bought the item. They said is ok. After that a courier took the item. Next day was in service and got status updated. They ordered the piece. Replaced the piece. Another day to courier to get it back. Super fast.

I live in Honduras, bought one from USA, now im scared, sold my fully functional steam deck to get an rog Ally and this scares me, there is no way ill get a fix if something happens here

Installed a 2Tb SSD cheaply on day 1 and never had an issue
The SD issue is really the only one... I've had the issue but totally still enjoying the Ally...in a way I don't want to RMA as I don't want to be without it as I use it almost daily 😂

I upgraded to 2tb drive on day 2 of buying, I got my Ally on release day... I'm considering doing the 4tb 2280 drive upgrade 😉

Yo after you got your ally back from the RMA and they fixed everything on it how's the MicroSD card holding up everything still all have you been torture testing it to see if the micro SD card can still work on the device? Let me know what's up
