Bro Pearry Green - The Lord is Coming (Clarification Series: No 10 of 29)

Across the centuries, God has used widely differing personalities to complete the portion of the Plan of Salvation that He has allotted to each generation.
Regardless of whether these individuals became public leaders in their own right, they each contributed to and helped preserve the richness of the Gospel message that all Christians cherish today.
Born July 1, 1933, Pearry Lee Green became the founding Pastor of Tucson Tabernacle, North Stone Avenue, Tucson Arizona which opened it’s doors for the first time in 1965.
With the wisdom of hindsight, the events of Brother Green’s life can now be seen to have been ordered in such a way as to equip him with the experience, personality and skills that would enable him to play a vital role in the introduction of Rev. William Branham’s Ministry and Message to over 135 countries.
In so doing, he fulfilled the words written of the early disciples as found in Acts 4:20:
"For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. "
Blessed with an exceptional gift of memory, he devoted his life to telling the world that God had sent a mighty prophet to our generation with a Message that would prepare the living Bride of Christ to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
During the last years of his life, Rev. Branham began to seek out Brother Green’s company on a regular basis. He would then repeatedly tell him of significant events and happenings that had taken place in his life and ministry.
When Pearry asked why he was spending so much time with him when there were so many others who desired his company, Brother Branham simply replied “It was meant to be.”
Brother Green's first knowledge of William Branham’s Ministry came in early 1950, when on Jan 23, he and his family traveled to be attend the Branham campaign meeting held at the Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston, Texas.
He was present the following night when a supernatural halo of light was professionally photographed above Rev. Branham’s head before a crowd of some 8000 people.
The Halo photograph was examined by Mr. George Lacy, Examiner of Questioned Documents, Houston, Texas, who concluded,
“I am of the definite opinion the negative….. was not retouched, nor was it a composite or double exposed negative. Further, I am of the definite opinion that the light streak appearing above the head in a halo position was caused by light striking the negative”.
There was no visible light source present that could account for the halo effect.
