I think the design should be a bit lower down avoiding the handles to be on the heat press. I’m guessing. Thanks for showing us diff techniques n temp to get a better result.

you may want to use a pressing pillow on the bags so that it can heat evenly above the handles

TFS suggestion works great at 385 for 60 secs.

I found that if you cut a gift box thin piece of cardboard and place between the layers it works best! Also remove the handles first and then reattach.

On the gift bags could you not have used a hand mini press, so that it would not show the handles?
