This video is about PO GUIDE PART 1 CLASS-1 which will cover GDS TO POSTMAN STUDY MATERIAL NOTES in Paper-II as per the New syllabus. PO GUIDE PART 1 is an important topic in the GDS to Postman syllabus as it is given in Paper 1 and Paper 2 as well.
Post Office Guide part 1 is given as MCQs in Paper 1 of the GDS to Postman Exam and GDS to MTS Exam for 23X2 =46 marks including Products and services. However, PO Guide part 1 is given in MCQ for 5x2=10 marks in paper 2 of the new revised syllabus for GDS to Postman which covers only the delivery part of the postman.
What is PO Guide Part 1?
Ans: PO Guide Part 1 deal with Rules and regulations relating to Inland posts. Further, Post Office Guide Part 1 contains information on all items of business transacted in a Post office.

Many are asking 4cm? where did you see it as 4cms?
The correct answer is 3 cms as per po guide part 1: clause 26(1)(a):
The address should be written parallel to the length of the cover and in the lower half and towards the right-hand side of the front of the article, leaving a clear margin at least 3 centimeter at the top for the postage stamps and labels, postmarks and other indications.

Mobile Post offices - Mobile Post Offices are functioning at Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, Madras, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kanpur, Poona, Jaipur and Bhilai Industrial Township. These Mobile Post Offices are intended to provide the facility of late posting in the different areas of the cities at different timings according to a fixed schedule *(excluding insured and V.P.).* “These offices remain closed
on Sundays and Postal Holidays.” The Mobile Post Offices sell stamps and Postal stationery, grant certificate of posting, book surface and air mail registered articles of the letter mail (excluding insured and V.P.) and air parcels besides accepting unregistered articles of the letter mail for dispatch. The mobile Post Offices at Madras and Nagpur are also permitted to book money orders.

Concessional Registration fee for vpp containing printed book or stamped value whereof does not exceed Rs50 is ₹2.5
2. Vpp fee:
Not exceeding Rs20- ₹2
Exceeding Rs20 but not exceeding ₹50 =₹3
Exceeding Rs 50=₹5
Vpp inquiry fee ₹1

If it parcel , parcel rate+ vp fee as I told above + registration fee
If it’s letter, letter rate+ vp fee as I told above+ registration fee
If it’s containing printed books ₹2.50 will be registration fee instead of ₹17 otherwise ₹17 will be collected.
For example, 900 grams parcel 📦 for ₹500 means parcel charge (19+16)=35 + registration fee₹17+ vp fee ₹5( vp is for ₹500 is exceeding ₹50) will be collected
