You surely have a memory lapse. 2 hours driving on a test? A test usually takes around 30-40 mins, and an examiner would never announce you had passed your test until you are parked back at the test centre. (This is because you could be over excited and not concentrate on the road as you still have to drive back to the test centre, same as being told you'd failed)

I passed my theory 1st time today. For the Questions: I used the "Official DVSA Theory Test for Car drivers" book and the 4in1 Driving Test Success app. The book was useful as it covers most of the necessary information in an easy way that allows you to understand the topics instead of merely memorise the answers. The app was great practice and the questions I got were almost identical to the officially released ones. Practice the questions in EVERY category again and again. Read the explanations, so even when a question is worded differently, you'll know what to answer. Do a lot of mock tests and once you're consistently getting over 47-48, you'll know you're good. I also did a few mocks on different websites just to see if I could answer the question when it's worded differently than the ones I was used to in the app. For Hazard: The CGI clips are clear and slow, so it's really difficult to miss a hazard and their style is very similar to the ones released by the DVSA for practice. Personally, I initially practiced with real-life ones in the 4in1 app and that trained my brain to spot the hazards while a lot of things were going on in the scene. HOWEVER, real-life ones required faster clicking reaction compared to the CGI clips (I often scored 0 in the CGI ones because I clicked too early whereas that was ok for the real life ones). So, you can practice real-life ones to sharpen your eye but after that FOCUS on CGI to find your pace and clicking technique, 'cause they are similar to the ones you'll get on the actual test. Good luck!!

Although scoring 50/50 as a qualified automotive engineer I would disagree with one or 2 of the answers which is based on numbers of recoveries seen less frequently in urban areas . Steady state motorway driving is less harmful and actually beneficial to a motor vehicle than stop start driving in an urban environment . The engine remains at a constant temperature , less ancilliaries e.g. cooling fans , alternators etc are under less stress to function , increased under bonnet and under vehicle airflow , the ability for the engine to run cleaner and exhaust system to function at designed temperature etc. All normal checks should be done anyway even if not driving on motorways daily or weekly at most and a quick visual check around the vehicle before setting off anywhere is recommended looking for dirty lights , registration plates , equal tyre pressures takes seconds . I call it a ' Pilot Check'. Tyre pressures , fluid levels lights and so on . Most drivers would not have enough experience to know if a serpentine or cam belt is about to let go , and this is a common failure anywhere and normally happens in stop start driving conditions when an engine is switched off . The age of a driver is a contentious issue .Age has nothing to do with reaction speeds only in some cases . Driving experience to deal with every situation that you will encounter only comes with age . I have been the first responder to numerous accidents over the years and medically trained to attend accident victims until paramedics arrive and handover or continue to assist and often carried out this activity late at night/early on motorways when traffic has been light always taking necessary safety precautions (warning triangle and beacon , hazards on my vehicle ) before triaging and attending to victims .I always carry a trauma kit in my daily driver for that purpose . OK as I 64 year old I have been barred from entering the I.O.M. Sidecar TT through ageism by the sponsors Monster who has limited the competition age to 45 , but I'm still one of the fastest drivers in my race car driving formula , and faster over the local derestricted road stages used by RAC rally cars AT NIGHT in my standard every day driver . If driving at speed , night time allows oncoming vehicles to be seen well in advance and choose the road stages where little or no residential properties exist and hours when it is highly unlikely that other road users particularly pedestrians are around . Also note there is a legal definition of " street racing " although not commonly presented in defence of those multiple parties caught in such activities on speed restricted roads . Street racing does not apply to single vehicles on derestricted roads , where an individual can hone his skills . An Advanced Driving course is recommended to those who have not had access to racetrack experience as some of us have during their early years of driving or before . This will also help when insuring your vehicle as a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists . On a lighter note the ice warning sign surely means " Avoid Snowflakes Ahead " ! I would suggest a new warning sign in London " Dangerous Cyclists Ahead " depicting a cyclist riding over the roof of car , or a cyclist with a question mark instead of a head . They are like mosquitoes or crane fly's , absolutely everywhere and rarely considering any other road users or pedestrians .
It's amazing how easy that was, when I did my test I got 1 wrong, while doing previous theory and hazard tests on youtube I get 2-6 wrong but this one I found to be the easiest I've ever done lol.
My own certificate also expired because of the COVID-19 lockdown. I need to re-take the exam this month Sept 2022 as urgently as possible. I need to study very well.
i'll be taking a Cat D theory soon, and stumbled across this. Had a look and scored 50/50. When I took my car theory i was shitting it but passed with 44/50.. goes to show experience goes a long way. although most of it is now common sense i guess. I've been driving 5 years, and remember the exact feeling going into the theory centre
I have never looked at the highway code in my life and I got 39. I would have failed but it shows the majority of the questions can be answered with common sense.
Yep, imo the theory test is a tiny bit of memorising, but mostly the answers are so obvious. I'd say you'd have to try to fail the multiple choice questions, honestly(!)
I got one wrong (I'm 76 and never had any theory lessons). It was about what to do when coming on a serious incident. The 'correct' answer was phone for an ambulance rather than my answer of get other drivers to help. It of course depends on the situation. If you are on an isolated country road then phoning for an ambulance/police makes sense. If it's a busy road then stopping other vehicles piling into the mayhem makes sense and then phoning for the ambulance seems the sensible choice. Ambulances take time to arrive and a few seconds more is unlikely to make much difference. Also, do you ask for the ambulance or police first?
Unfortunately the police are not very good Doctors. Those extra few minutes may just make the difference in saving a persons life. Especially when they have serious injuries.
Only one I got wrong was the one about your car being on fire in a tunnel. I put stop and use the emergency phone. I understand why it’s a good idea to get the car out of the tunnel but I’m not sure it could ever be considered safe to continue if your car was on fire.
@@Cjbx11 I think the answer for both you and billy bosh is that it depends on the circumstances. If it's a very short tunnel drive out, if it's the Mont Blanc then drive to the next layby with a phone. Stopping other drivers and phoning 999 at the same time makes sense. The option said nothing about the sevetity of the injuries if any. That's the danger of prescribing only one answer to a situation which you must assess when it happens. Another moan, we all flash our lights to let oncoming traffic know we are giving them right of way. Merely flashing to indicate you are there seems daft. You could sit there all day long flashing each other. Boris might get excited though. Still I think we all agree that these test are desirable and probably essential for inexperienced drivers.
I passed my theory test today. Some of the question very tricky eg when are you ALLOWED TO horn in built up area. But on the book it has when u r NOT ALLOWED TO HORN, also some of the answer worded differently and u maybe thinking answer is not there. English is my 2nd language so i found little difficult to understand some of them . Still manage to score 47/50. Take ur time and keep reading. I ended up guessing few answer due to change of wording and not understanding meaning of it . Good luck all
@@AA-uf3bl u get real video aswell as animation type. I was so confident that i would score 90% but i scored 48/75, not sure how they counted my marks. I never over clicked. I noticed all hazards… its just the timing of clicking. Although i was so good and scored over 70% from mobile app. Goodluck on ur test
This is cool but I'd say its great if you had some extra information after giving an answer. Things stick in my head when I can logically come up with them as opposed to memorising what answer matches what question.
I’ve revised apps continuous questions on Google etc on 3 attempts I got 42 out of 50. Finally I passed last week 47 out of 50 not all of these are on test. Different each time
Well wouldn't that be kind of stupid if the exact same questions came up in every test? When you're on the road driving you won't be facing the exact same senarios or situations everytime.
Doing mine today, im so nervous i Have been going over the questions but I’m not that intelligent when it comes to memorising stuff I will give an update later on because this is my second time doing the test
I am always passing the hazard perception and failing this one. I hope this time I will pass taking it in 3weeks time studying every day fingers crossed🤞.
I was taught on a course led by a Police Officer and a Fireman that if you are first at an accident what you must do as top priority is control the traffic. This minimises the risk of the accident becoming more serious. Then get someone to call for the Emergency Services.
i got 46 out of 50 right and have never even looked at a highway code or studied a theory exam. most of these seem to be based on simple logic so my theory test is in 2 weeks and i don't think i should bother revising because this was pretty easy and even if i fail it's only 20 odd quid to re sit.
Passed my test in 1972. No two-parter, just a few questions on highway code. Test cost £3.50, lessons £1.50 each. Passed 1st time. I'd hate to be a new driver now. 🚗🚗🚗
Why can’t the priority signs - which display two contrasting arrows pointing in opposite directions - be reduced to a single broad arrow: white for facing traffic which has the priority and a broad red arrow facing traffic which does not? Alternatively, simply show the same broad white arrow pointing against - that is, inverted - traffic which does not have priority.
The first question needs re- wording.. They are NOT WALKING ALONG THE ROAD.. This sign is telling you there could be pedestrians and to be aware. pedestrians use pavements unless crossing at designated crossings or using the highway code of practice to cross the road in the correct manner. Where no crossing can be found they use the highway code to cross over a road. They DO NOT WALK ALONG THE ROAD.. THEY CROSS OVER THE ROAD.. There is a BIG difference. Pedestrians can walk at the side of a road if no pavement is present, ie in the countryside for example. And any moron walking along a road deserves all that's coming there way if stupid enough to do so.. use the embankment or pavements, not the road.
@@jbr4299 yes. I scored 45 on the mock test and 60 on the hazard perception. I over clicked on two videos and I scored zero on them yet I passed. Thanks, guy for checking on me.

By I am a curious person my son as just started to learn to drive and said to me I wouildn't pass my test today? I am 58 year old and been driving 22 years and did take a thoery test before I past it was 35 questions with 30 correct answeres then. I passed the second time in the year 2000 but admitenly since passing never brushed up on the theory and after passing my practicle trest suppose everything then just becomes experience and practile, driving every day there is hazzards on the road which one as to avoid just naturally, but yes my son got me wonderiung would I pass todays theory which is 43 out of 50 questions right to pass. So I decided to take the theory test 3 times and see how I would do so I sorted 3 seperate tests on you tube to see how I would do and this is the result. 1st test was a fail I got 38 questions righ so failed the test by 5 questions with 12 wrong answers, 2nd test a pass I got 44 questions out of 50 right so 1 question above the pass rate with 6 questions wrong, 3rd test a fail I fot 42 questions correct out of 50 so failed by 1 question and got 8 wrong, so the answer is I could pass a test today without even studying but a fool doesn't study before a test so yes I would pass the theory today. To be honest I surprised myself because when one is driving everyday one wonders if they still have it to pass a test and I am glad I still have, but odviously that would depend on the questions you get on the test as when I was a college I got a distinction on my mock exam and only a pass on the actual exam, so it depends on the day the tests I took here where 3 different tests but admitting some of the same questions came up in the later tests. So yes I wasa pleased at the result and glad I still have a reasonable road sign and action knowledge, I was surprised at some of the questions which involved first aid and machanical knowledge and it wasn't all about signs and road actions one would take a different lione of questions when I took my theory im 2000, anyway pleased with my result that I am still able to pass a theory even after 22 years.

They might have been different on the day of your theory test, but these are the same questions. Just be more prepared for questions you have not seen come up, and always use your common sense to work them out. There is no excuse for anyone failing the Theory test.

If this was an assignment you’d get an A*
It's amazing how easy that was, when I did my test I got 1 wrong, while doing previous theory and hazard tests on youtube I get 2-6 wrong but this one I found to be the easiest I've ever done lol.
Give me some tips my friend, what they ask mostly in the test
I like your question but wouldn’t rely on it too much, keep doing mock test on apps man, you got this!
Please how did you get them so easy for you?
Got my theory in couple of hours. Even though I’ve passed twice (certificate expired that’s why I need to do it again), I’m still a bit nervous 😅
My own certificate also expired because of the COVID-19 lockdown. I need to re-take the exam this month Sept 2022 as urgently as possible. I need to study very well.
74yrs young lady driver 50/50 👍 (Retired lady trucker) 💁♀️
I passed my test in 1984, when there was no separate theory test, so feeling good that I got 48/50 without any revision.
1972 for mine
Iv been driving since I was 17, I’m now 65. Didn’t have theory then but I just got 50/50, not to bad for an oldie 🇬🇧
That's cool. Congrats!
Your super lucky, life was so easy then
There was no theory test when I was learning to drive.
Why are so many people scared of this test.
This was so easy.
This is easy, the majority of the questions are not this easy. Also they are all randomised from 750 questions. So not always this test.
I agree Northy. Anyone with any common sense should walk this.
i'll be taking a Cat D theory soon, and stumbled across this. Had a look and scored 50/50. When I took my car theory i was shitting it but passed with 44/50.. goes to show experience goes a long way. although most of it is now common sense i guess. I've been driving 5 years, and remember the exact feeling going into the theory centre
I got a test at 10am tomorrow absolutely shitting it any advice you can give me mate
@@scottfraser193 how'd you get on?
I have my test in couple of hours I got 45 wishhh me luck guys!
I have never looked at the highway code in my life and I got 39. I would have failed but it shows the majority of the questions can be answered with common sense.
My test is in a few hours. Got 49/50 on this one. Wish me luck please. I’ll definitely give an update tomorrow.
update..?plz

@@SY-ek7yx what type of questions were in the actual exams? was it like the ones in this video? i have my theory exam next week x
@@dreamflower- yes indeed, similar questions but paraphrased sentences. Good luck with your exam
@@SY-ek7yx thank u! it’s this thursday. hoping i pass so i can move onto getting a practical date x
I passed my test 12 years ago and i gotta admit these questions are common sense. Very easy to pass if you wanted to
Yep, imo the theory test is a tiny bit of memorising, but mostly the answers are so obvious. I'd say you'd have to try to fail the multiple choice questions, honestly(!)
44. Just barely passed. Half of those were within the first 5 questions oops.
But how come there's no hazard perception in this? It's in the title
Passed my theory today second time 47/50 Multiple choice & 47/75 Hazard and Preception
I'm taking my second test on the 15th... I failed my first by 3 points on my multiple choice but passed my hazard... Imma watch this before my test ❤
Got 47 out of 50 here. I got my test tomorrow, hopefully I'll pass 🤞

Just passed mine, some questions were tough but if you prepared you’d be alright
Good luck all
Are the questions in the actual test the same as the practice questions? Many thanks in advance.
@@AA-uf3bl yes most are but worded differently some. Hence why i couldn’t answer 3 question properly.
@@Mindgame-no1 Thanks. And the hazard perception, is it a real video like in the ones in the DVD, or App?
@@AA-uf3bl u get real video aswell as animation type. I was so confident that i would score 90% but i scored 48/75, not sure how they counted my marks. I never over clicked. I noticed all hazards… its just the timing of clicking. Although i was so good and scored over 70% from mobile app.
Goodluck on ur test
@@Mindgame-no1 Don't worry about how much you've scored, passing it is the essential.
Thanks a lot.

I was taught on a course led by a Police Officer and a Fireman that if you are first at an accident what you must do as top priority is control the traffic. This minimises the risk of the accident becoming more serious. Then get someone to call for the Emergency Services.
48/50 and my test in 5days , wish me luck! This video was very helpful thank you
2 days till test and got 49 on this vid. My anxiety approves of this
Despite driving for over 53years , I was amazed to only be sble to achieve a miserable 46 out of 50. Maybe I shought enrol on a refresher course.
this is the easy one is not the same like the thory center.
Yes it is. It's exactly the same as the theory you will take in your test.
i got 46 out of 50 right and have never even looked at a highway code or studied a theory exam. most of these seem to be based on simple logic so my theory test is in 2 weeks and i don't think i should bother revising because this was pretty easy and even if i fail it's only 20 odd quid to re sit.

Passed my theory test first time 46/50

Failed by 2 marks 😭, but got it rebooked for this week, should pass this time.
Have you passed the second one?
Im 15 rn 2 more years until I can my theory test I can't wait 😁
passed thank you very much !!!!
Got 46/50 on this video on multiple choice and I’ve been doing lots of mock tests averaging around 46/47… however the hazard perception is what I’m scared about I either pass with like 46/47 marks or fail with 42/43 marks I’m not confident with it … tests in 3 hours let’s see how it goes
