I never looked for background of any Candidate I voted, even I don't know the name the candidate I voted for. I'm an Indian. Many Indians are angry with Mr Lee regarding his statements on India. But what he said is completely correct. After Nehru and Shastri, corruption became the norm in Indian politics. No wonder many current politicians either abuse Nehru, or just ignore his ideals. More cheaper Indian people will just avoid the blame by just pointing out Nehru's Indo-China war blunder of 1962, and ignore everything that Nehru consolidated for Indian democracy.
