I know this comment is old, but not true. You can get a CLK-GTR for between $3-$5 million USD. Not sure how much a SS would go for but I imagine it would be in the same range. The one in the video was brought for $800,000 but that was before the 90s Hypercar prices skyrocketed. A racing one on the other hand would be between $10-$20 million though.

Those numbers are crazy even by today standards, let alone in 1999!!! Back then those numbers were spaceship numbers. For comparisment Mclaren Senna has 789 hp, and this is a car from 20+ years ago.

6.0l is in the normal CLK-GTR. And the engine that is in the normal CLK-GTR is now in the Pagani Zonda R/Zonda R Evolucion/Zonda Revoluzione. This is 7.3l, which is also in Zonda C12 S 7.3 and in the Mercedes SL73 AMG and all of them are naturally aspirated.

They had to make one to enter Le Man's you need to have the race car based on a road car. But merc did it the other way round and basically make their racecar a road car lol.
All supercars are heavily unreliable, apart from maybe 911's and merc's GT's, and few others, which are considered daily supercars and are built for that specifically. Customers who buy these cars and have that much money dont care and will take that sacrifice for performance, those cars are not built to go alot of kilometers anyways. But yea, this car has a 7.3 V12 which was brand new at the time, and was pushing 720 horsepower in 1999. It screams heavy unrealibility LOL!

Its a Standard CLK GTR, not a CLK GTR supersport as the speedometer in the supersports go to 400kmph.

When it was first used it had a 6.0 V12 later in the street models they used a larger 6.9l V12
