Half court execution and getting timely shots in areas of the court where their star players can produce -- that's what the difference in the series is overall. Now you have Anthony Edwards in game 1 says he was tired and in game 2 he didn't shoot or take advantage of his attack to the rim to score in crunch time while he turned the ball over -- so both cases are on Anthony Edwards....then you have Karl-Anthony Towns who will not use his post game to break down the Dallas front court to get them into foul trouble when he's a great post player. So all of those aspects come down to understanding, wisdom, and mental toughness. See, you do not see the Mavericks not using both Luka and Kyrie in a way where they refuse to attack, score, shoot, or break down the defenses...so why are the Timberwolves key players not doing those things? See, good teams and reasonable teams just get beaten and out-executed when the pressure hits, like what the Pistons did to the Lakers in 2004, they basically just beat them or the Pistons vs. Bulls from 1988-1990 or the Pistons losing to Boston in game 7 in '87 but what happened in game 5? Thomas threw the ball away to Bird; what took place in the 1987 Finals game 4, the Lakers out executed Boston.... What about in '84 game 2, the Lakers blew it with Magic running out the clock and Worthy's bad pass (like the Pacers in game 1 vs. Boston in 2024) and in game 7 Magic turning the ball over. You can read the situation, there are times a team does something stupid to lose and then there are times you just get out-executed and you get beaten for a reason and when you find out what that reason is, you'll normally bounce back to win.

Ok guys stop saying there isn’t a solution for the Wolves it’s as clear as day. I don’t know if it’s because you dont strategize or what. Keep Rudy in the game . Slow the game down . With every position play into the game clock and get high quality mid range and paint points . Yes they have rim protection but it’s possible you can pass out to a mid range pull up or pass out of the rim protection for an easy layup. Also there is a chance that you can draw fouls in the paint and get their post defenders in foul trouble. When the Wolves are up 10 or more points, that’s when you can switch out Gobert for Reid and play free with the 3 ball . When you’re below 10 again , switch back to Gobert and live in the paint. On the other end, since you ate up most of your shot clock on the defensive end, Dallas has less game clock to make a bucket each possession. So what will happen is that they’ll start rushing shots more with each possession. To solve the Luka and Kyrie problem, just get physical with them everytime they touch the ball . Go into your bench to defend them that way specifically. Yes they will get foul calls but that’s what the bench players are for. Luka has a bad knee. It was obvious when he joined the nba tnt crew with an ice pack taped to his knee . That aggressive physical defense will ware him down to the point where he is ineffective. Also if you get the Dallas possession down to 5 seconds or less and Luka or Kyrie has the ball , double him because that pressure is either going to have him throw a wild pass or take a bad shot which will probably result in a empty possession. So stop with the nonsense about there not being a solution. Like it seems like that’s the standard American mentality. It’s too hard so there is no hope lol.

Half court execution and getting timely shots in areas of the court where their star players can produce -- that's what the difference in the series is overall. Now you have Anthony Edwards in game 1 says he was tired and in game 2 he didn't shoot or take advantage of his attack to the rim to score in crunch time while he turned the ball over -- so both cases are on Anthony Edwards....then you have Karl-Anthony Towns who will not use his post game to break down the Dallas front court to get them into foul trouble when he's a great post player. So all of those aspects come down to understanding, wisdom, and mental toughness. See, you do not see the Mavericks not using both Luka and Kyrie in a way where they refuse to attack, score, shoot, or break down the defenses...so why are the Timberwolves key players not doing those things? It's their job and choice so why aren't they doing this?
Mentality: See, Anthony Edwards is learning what the game is about at this level but Karl-Anthony Towns is a veteran, this is his 9th season, so for him not to stay in the paint and use his ability to help his team that's called 100% FEAR and he's HIDING because he's just playing for money, a new contract, and to just chill but he's NOT PLAYING TO WIN TITLES...If Karl-Anthony Towns was playing to win championships and to be successful then he would have wound up like Kevin McHale or Tim Duncan or even better than Kevin Garnett when it comes to his abilities in the post to elevate his team...so he's purposely doing this because he's just going through the motions and contributing just enough to fail but if they win, good and if they lose, he'll get them next time.... So to beg, plead, or ask Karl-Anthony Towns to wear his uniform to the game, the guy is already gone and has been gone since year 3 when he didn't want to compete.
The Finals: We see in these first two games if Minnesota gets to the NBA Finals, they'll do everything in their power NOT TO COMPETE at a high level to WIN whereas Dallas tries to win on every possession and tries to win every game, so the Mavs are serious about winning, so you can take them seriously.
Stupid Teams: I don't like nor do I trust stupid teams -- teams that don't do basic common sense things in using their abilities to make the game easier to help themselves win. You do things on the court to not win, guess what? You will not win, it doesn't matter what calls go against you or whether or not you play hard or work hard, if you are STUPID none of those things matter.
What is a stupid team? A stupid team is a team that will not go to the guys who are hot and who are playing well more consistently. A stupid team will not run the same play that works until the opponent proves they can stop it. A stupid team takes an entire game to make an adjustment. A stupid team cannot see nor understand their strengths or weaknesses. A stupid team does NOT know how to use the clock or protect the ball and they do not value possessions. A stupid team doesn't know how many time outs they have. A stupid team doesn't know what defensive assignments and personnel moves to make on the court in what works for them. A stupid team does NOT know how to move the basketball. A stupid team loves to be selfish. A stupid team just doesn't care and they constantly do the same things to make themselves lose and they do it so often it's like they are doing it on purpose. They do it on purpose because there's one conclusion: THEY ARE STUPID, WHETHER IT'S THE PLAYERS OR COACHES.
Go back and look at teams, if a team is NOT STUPID it means they are playing intelligent basketball and great strategic basketball but they just are over-matched when it comes to personnel, their players cannot match-up and compete because the other team is overwhelmingly more physically better.
Look at every team that loses, chances are the opponent does something stupid. This season it was Tom Tibodeau over-working his players to the point of exhaustion or the Pacers in game 1 choking that lead for no reason as well as the Lakers in their series with Denver and the Nuggets blowing a huge 20 point lead in game 7 at home or SGA fouling a guy taking a bad shot in a crucial point of the game and them not having that timeout. See, good teams and reasonable teams just get beaten and out-executed when the pressure hits, like what the Pistons did to the Lakers in 2004, they basically just beat them or the Pistons vs. Bulls from 1988-1990 or the Pistons losing to Boston in game 7 in '87 but what happened in game 5? Thomas threw the ball away to Bird; what took place in the 1987 Finals game 4, the Lakers out executed Boston.... What about in '84 game 2, the Lakers blew it with Magic running out the clock and Worthy's bad pass (like the Pacers in game 1 vs. Boston in 2024) and in game 7 Magic turning the ball over. You can read the situation, there are times a team does something stupid to lose and then there are times you just get out-executed and you get beaten for a reason and when you find out what that reason is, you'll normally bounce back to win.

Ok guys stop saying there isn’t a solution for the Wolves it’s as clear as day. I don’t know if it’s because you dont strategize or what. Keep Rudy in the game . Slow the game down . With every position play into the game clock and get high quality mid range and paint points . Yes they have rim protection but it’s possible you can pass out to a mid range pull up or pass out of the rim protection for an easy layup. Also there is a chance that you can draw fouls in the paint and get their post defenders in foul trouble. When the Wolves are up 10 or more points, that’s when you can switch out Gobert for Reid and play free with the 3 ball . When you’re below 10 again , switch back to Gobert and live in the paint. On the other end, since you ate up most of your shot clock on the defensive end, Dallas has less game clock to make a bucket each possession. So what will happen is that they’ll start rushing shots more with each possession. To solve the Luka and Kyrie problem, just get physical with them everytime they touch the ball . Go into your bench to defend them that way specifically. Yes they will get foul calls but that’s what the bench players are for. Luka has a bad knee. It was obvious when he joined the nba tnt crew with an ice pack taped to his knee . That aggressive physical defense will ware him down to the point where he is ineffective. Also if you get the Dallas possession down to 5 seconds or less and Luka or Kyrie has the ball , double him because that pressure is either going to have him throw a wild pass or take a bad shot which will probably result in a empty possession. So stop with the nonsense about there not being a solution. Like it seems like that’s the standard American mentality. It’s too hard so there is no hope lol.
