I don't have dandruff, but I compulsively pick at my scalp a lot (which is way better than picking at my eyebrows, baby steps) so it doesn't help... I wish I knew how to stop but I think dandruff, from what I understand, is another thing altogether
Sounds like you have trichotillomania. I used to pull at my lashes and brows a lot when I was younger, particularly when anxious and also pick my scalp.
I also have adhd and picking skin etc, can be classed as stimming.
You’re not alone xx
A suggestion to both of you as another adhd person who skin picks, get tweezers and tweeze your leg hair, bikini line, armpit (those if you're going for more of an eyelash texture I guess) anywhere you want that it's not face, it's super satisfying and it may be hair you're wanting to get rid of anyway so two birds with a stone, helps a lot when anxiously picking
