I accidentally do this a LOT, because of my habit of narrating those stories for each run...the stuff in the shops is in-universe. I mostly avoid lvl rerolls for the same reason. Can't wait to see this run, so I'll shut up and watch. (Added note, around the 38-minute mark...it's hard to watch you clicking that big button that says "Reroll" so much in a NO REROLL CHALLENGE, but you often spend money against your own best interests; it's part of your charm)
This happens quite a bit, the last bosses sort of lull you in with false confidence and then the armored chargers spawn and whoops now its a fight for your life. Really entertaining stuff!
I think this might be better on a class that has a strong identity? I was thinking loud because dmg rolls more and if you try to work with just % damage that might be better, I failed but it felt good for a while . . .IDK. might be easy with demon?
I watched your weapon tier list a day or two ago and tried the slingshot for the first time. And I must say, it was a monster. I later thought, why not try a 12 slingshot build with the multi-tasker? I still can't make it work for some reason. Would love to see it happen. (Will still try on my end) I hope to see your amazing work again.
This is what I consider when buying crown: it is not a matter of just paying for itself. You have to consider interests because when you buy it the shop pricing is one and in the last wave the pricing is different. So if you payed lets say 100 for it at wave 10 and on each wave the prices go up 10%, at wave 20 crown has to return at least 200. I also consider what I could buy for the same 100.
Bro you did my idea :) can't wait to see how it went when I get home! Edit: I now watched it and dang dude that 2nd run was so close I think you really had it. When I suggested this challenge I thought it would be impossible you showed it is not impossible. Maybe with a different tato it can be done. Also I think the dangerous bunny rerolls should be fine to do.
Really cool challenge! Spent my last few attempts trying this out and finally succeeded with renegade! Took me about 10 tries but I think you're much better than me so could probably do it faster. Generally a strong potato, and buying random items at least gets you some %damage when you have to buy some useless item. Got a little lucky getting a baby with a beard and a couple turrets. Didn't end up killing the bosses but lifesteal on renegade makes you real tanky!
Ouch. I can’t believe you kept that circular saw that long, I can only get it to be worthwhile unless it’s an all medical/blade build. As always, you play better than I do no matter what the challenge is! Cheers
Was there some kind of change / nerf made recently? I was testing something on D0 and noticed my first 3 waves negative armor increasing up to a max of -5 armor until it stopped. Class choice doesn’t seem to matter either obv and it’s not related to shop items
That 2nd att was insane with pretty much all the economy youll ever need, and i think stone skin was in fact a nice pick, community support really trolled you because you started to get a lot of atack speed on lvl ups after you buy it. Funny enough you would probably have won that run if you didnt replace the figthing stick with a short range dagger, and still picking up a baby with a beard with a really bad negative range.
What do you think about the challenge theme of picking whichever starting weapon you think is objectively worst for each character? I fail most attempts, but I think it would be fun to see you try your hand at it ;)
For 1-20 runs, cacti club is a great weapon despite its awful scaling since it has the two best weapon tags in primitive and heavy (the only common heavy AFAIK).
is this a homebrew CRPG? its an interesting juxtaposition to alternate this with bg3 vids. it reminds me that back in the old days we had fun just with text and b/w 100x100 pixels. Even BG1 basically provided only 2D sprites that were smudges of color to represent characters on a static backdrop, requiring a ton of imagination compared to the motion-captured character models in BG3. And it was amazingly fun. But BG3 is amazing too.
I feel like the most difficult part of this challenge is going to be not re-rolling on muscle memory when you see a bad shop or level
Wow! Quite the runs, and yes, made it all the way through. Loved the "swipe right or swipe left to connect to the kids" comment.
Still here, love these videos!

Nice! Next one NO REROLL CHALLENGE with ArmsDealer =))

That's a tough challenge--I liked how you were still calling the second build a defensive build when you had 60 Melee Damage! Good idea for a video
As per your request, yes, I have watched both of your attempts :)
On the edge of my seat the whole time great vid 👍
Really tough & interesting challenge!

Really entertaining!
You were on track for that first run, but the 2 hordes of the second were super lucky
For the next series of brotato stuff, try 3 characters combined

Another note is that melee weapons don't show up on renegade, so you don't have to buy useless weapons for the build to clear shops

bro that is wild
Soundoff! I made it past the tragic loss you suffered...

I wish I had an 86% winning rate without randomness or restrictions.

Just 10 min it, but it seems - of all the items - piggybank would work wonders here. :D
