I have a KZ Edx pro. Its stock cable became faulty within 7 months. Its definitely great under ₹1000, but it has a harsh sound signature good for edm and metal genres but lacks the balance between treble and mids in pop and vocals.
Recently bought CCA lyra at ₹999 and that has a much better balanced sound and definitely worth buying.

@@_akshxt_ I don't use the KZ one often, currently the CCA is my go to choice and it's cable is holding up alright till now although oxidation is visible through the translucent cable
In that case I'm gonna follow ur advice and buy em 👍🏻
This is the earphone that I have been using for the past five months. It has unique features that set it apart from standard bass-focused earphones, and it sounds fantastic. But after using them for a while, the earbuds tend to come loose easily and are not entirely free of tangling.
Got it for 750₹ from concept kart.
Edit: I am currently facing an issue where only one side of the earpiece is functioning due to damage in the cable. I am unsure about the cause of this problem as it is the second time I have encountered such an issue. The replacement cable is priced at approximately 600₹. So that's it..I'm done with cheap iems.

Does it survive for 3 years? I bought Mi Dual Driver back in 2021, but now it's broken near the jack. I was looking for good earphones around 700-800. Should I go for it? I'm just a bit concerned about the build quality.

The EDX PRO is a good beginner audiophile IEM but i would certainly go for other options available in this price segment.

I didn't understand? You mean the silicon ear tips are loosened?
@@Jinxed_Ecksdee I even have that issue too...
@@abhiram___ I didn't understand the issue? Can you explain again?
@@Jinxed_Ecksdee I've had KZ EDX Pro for more than a year, and within 7 months the cable part near the eartips had a loose connection.
After an year, the glue which sticks the earpiece together was leaking out. It would seem like earwax but it was the glue. And slowly bass response will reduce. The white silicone tips will also get loose within an year and there are chances of it getting removed from the earpiece frequently.

IEM earphones are meant to be used by sound engineer, singer or someone related to production work. They are not meant to be bass boosted. These are used for MONITORING the sound you are making. 👍
They are also great for listening to music, and as such are tuned for that.

A note:
I got the moondrop chu 2 and I will tell you all that don't expect to get that "thrill/punch" while using them.
IEMs provide great clarity and details but their actual sound signature is very balanced/flat.
So you might not get that "immersive" experience, like losing yourself to the music and vibing.
I got these just to try and I still prefer my Sony headphones for everyday use
No man that balanced sound signature what audiophile looks for. Bess isn't the only thing what we enjoy, actually heavy bass degrades sound quality. We want to feel every instrument being played, and that is more interesting than bass.

Leave everything aside 😂 They look like a hearing aid machine 😁
Some iems specially the costly ones with multiple drivers are very heavy and can be uncomfy
The earhooks exists to distribute the weight so that it dosent feel that heavy
Overall feels more comfortable
If your point was that wearing IEMs will make you look uncool because it will look like you are wearing hearing aids... You should know that IEMs were originally made to be used by musicians on stage. Name any famous musician you can think of. They all use custom made IEMs.
Fun fact:- Some IEMs use balanced armature drivers which are the same technology which is used in hearing aids.
@@awesomeyakuza211but goddamn they sound insane it beats the airpods x1000
@@UnderqualifiedPilot Obviously, since airpods are focused on conventional sound (bass focused). While good IEMs sound balanced and neutral. By not having an overemphasis on one part of the frequency curve, we get a more fuller sound without missing any details.

You can buy a Portable DAC, USB type C to 3.5 mm, I'm currently using Venture Electronics Abigail Pro, cost me around 1000, Good to start with IEMs for audiophiles,
Audio fidelity and reliability is much more important for IEMs than comfort. IEMs are for audiophiles so if you don't care about high end audio, then just stick with standard consumer buds.
There are IEM cables that terminate with type C.
My IEM combo is Dunu Titan S with Tripowin 2.5mm Cable paired with Fiio BTR5 connected with ny S23 Ultra. Audio experience while listening music on Apple Music is something else. I can never go back to bluetooth earphones.
