@@kkteutsch6416 the big radials are all dry sump too - and if you watch crews with those engines they always pull the propeller through without fuel or ignition to clear oil out of the lower cylinders still before attempting a start so they don't blow a cylinder off it turns out to be full of oil. Scavenge pumps to return oil to the tank can only scavenge what drains to the scavenge pump suction side. Splash oil in the cylinders will always remain there after shutdown and it will always be prone to weeping past the piston rings.
Best sounding Mercedes ever.

Not a Mercedes. Mercedes was just the name of Mr. Benz’s daughter and the car company he named after her. Has nothing to do with DB aero engines
Do you like it ?
Many people don’t appreciate what an incredible plane this was with its small, light airframe and that incredibly powerful DB engine.
Ja wie geil, das habe ich das erste Mal 1993 in Duxford bei der Russ Snadden Black Six gesehen😉
A nice DB-sound, and what a flames!😎
man its hittin a mean lick!
sounds sweeet!
Love it!
What a Bird. Thanks.
Awesome!!!
How is it cleaning spark plugs?
Better to.investigate oil bleeding at that cylinder piston rimgs...
There's a spark plug cleaning feature to the engine. I forget how it works. But they belch all kinds of smoke when it happens.
Being an inverted V12, it's going to have oil weep into the cylinders regardless, just the same as happens to the bottom cylinders on radials.
@jamieduff1981 ok it is dry sump also but in good conditions they don't continues to gave fumes after started...
