*Great job, master!* *I am glad that you came back after a long break and continue to delight us with your works.* *Also many thanks to all those who help you to shoot these beautiful and correct videos.* *Good luck and a huge hello.* *Best regards, Alexander CHEST'ER*
Your "killing" the wood before glue up is rarely if ever seen. Very nice. Makes tight joints last without seams. Fantastic job with conscientious attention to detail and long lasting results.
@@slicerabbit6166 Where Ishitani-san is hammering the tenons and the wood around the mortises before glue up. The hammering is colloquial called "killing the wood" and allows the wood fibers to be compressed, and then later expand for a very tight fit.
This video also shows - without a single word - as much of the creation process as you need to know. No more, no less. Just enough to understand. Excellent work, congratulations.
i am also following you and so is another Korean woodworker (Kobeomsuk) and i must say Ishitani has always been an inspiration for us. Hopefully i could make my channel of my own. You are also a master craftsman. I hope i can find a Shimohira planer!
I don't think I have paid so much attention , even to my engineering classes ... Anyone here agrees that the lack of background music also focuses your attention onto the work?? Coming to the work- in a class of its own... Spectacular.
The definition of skill is when even the glue-up phase of the project has a zen like calmness. By the way, the lovely doggie reminds me of Snowy from Tintin.
Chie, you always do such a wonderful job shooting and editing these videos! Your skill complements Natsuki's beautifully!! It is an absolute joy to view your work.
I watch your videos over and over. 90% of what you make I love the style of the end product. 100% of your builds I see the absolute attention to detail. The almost religious devotion to your method. The care taken in each touch of the board. It inspires me. I have found that since I’ve watched your videos my own projects have improved 1000%. TY for sharing this with the world. You’re amazing
I truly enjoy watching your process for designing and building furniture. Also your shop is so nice and bright and even though you use power tools in your shop, it seems so tranquil. It is great to have you back sharing your work with us.
I learn something every time I watch one of your videos. I'd never seen a plane like the one you used to smooth out the seat before. Thanks for coming back and keep up the good work.
Thank you for another fine video. The simple nature of your videos is very pleasing and very natural. The sound of the woodworking tools makes me want to get back in my shop. It is inspiring and calming at the same time. Thank you Ishitani-san for another look into your craftsmanship.
Very pleased to see you are both still fit and healthy. Always delightful to see your wonderful craftsmanship (both the woodwork 🪚 and the videos 🎥 themselves). Bonus Shiro 🐶 cameo appearances are always welcome, too!
SO good to see you back! While you were away I started thinking I knew what I was doing. Now you've returned and clearly, I do not. Thank you for the artistry and craftsmanship!
Es ist eine große Freude Ihnen bei der Arbeit zuzusehen. Ich habe großen Respekt für Ihre handwerklichen Fähigkeiten und den schönen Möbelstücken die Sie mit viel Fachwissen und Präzision herstellen.
Hi Ishitani, I missed your videos. As I am an admirer of carpentry and carpentry techniques, I missed the contents produced by you. All the best from Brazil.
Thought I'm the only one still using that high school calculator in the workshop :). Thank you for sharing the amazing craftmanship to the world - from Australia !!
Nice, elegant and sturdy chairs. The thing that most amazes me, is the way that everything fits wen you join all the pieces. And the video making and music are aso perfect.

Love how there is no cringy music or commentary during your videos. Just a cabinet maker doing his thing. Cheers

It’s always a pleasure to watch Mr. Ishitani work . His attention to detail is admirable.
You know you've watched alot of Ishitani's videos when you can distinguish the specific sound of his table saw starting up.
Upon seeing just the thumbnail, i immediately "heard" it.
