2003 Mercedes Benz SL500 radio removal and fix

Hi in this video I will show you how to remove the radio on a 2003 Mercedes Benz sl500 and replace the fuse at the back of it and now we have a good working radio

Thank you bro, this is just the video I needed. My (dad's) SL500 was left to sit for like 2 years and the polarizing film crusted and was essentially useless. At least now I know how to remove the unit, next thing to figure out is which way the film goes onto the screen.

My dads radio had the same problem, replaced the fuse and it turns on now but theres no sound. Everythings plugged in correctly. Any ideas? TIA

Is it equally as easy to replace the factory unit with an aftermarket stereo? Is there an installation harness for this car?

Yes this means one of your speakers is bad, or more likely is touching ground
