I remember when I first saw this as a little girl (80s baby here). Such a good visual to see true queens being classy, lyrical, well versed and gorgeous. Time sure has changed. I worry daily about my nieces and what visuals are being pushed on them. God Bless and keep us all.

There won't ever be any inspirational songs like these that bring our ppl together because it will continue to be the last thing thats needed and/or wanted on this country. I know a lot of ppl will hate on me for the things that I'm saying but it's common knowledge that we as black ppl were never meant to stand on our own. Yes, we have made great strides in this country but the underlying reality is still there ... we are still looked at as being less than (I really don't care who wants to deny this or say that I'm living in the past) and we see it every day. We are not supposed to be smart and articulate ... we are just supposed to follow the status quo and allow ourselves to be dumbed down (i.e. all the mumble rap that gets played on the radio now... and damn near nothing else)... Wow! I hadn't planned on typing all this ... but in a nutshell ... we know our freedom and piece of mind is important to us and we as a ppl need to do what we can to hold on to it.
I absolutely love this song ever since it came out!! All those beautiful black women coming together to sing & supporting each other is pure Her story❤️🖤🤎💯
I wish they would have kept all the images focused solely on black women instead of adding men. Otherwise what a classic track! We will never hear another track like this ❤️🙏🏽
I'm disappointed that something as historic as this isn't celebrated! All these artist on one song, well two, in one place is amazing. It should be celebrated, at least recognised more cuz something like this hasn't happened since. It also shows why 90s R&B will always be the best era for the genre. The movie was hit n miss but the soundtrack was dope! Judge me if u want but I get goosebumps every time I watch this video
All these new girls go back and forth bickering with one another meanwhile in the 90s theyre was at least 50 legend women in one room making a song together
I SO MISS the FREEDOM of making music from ONE’s HEART. I so LOVE this song and the time and effort that went into it. Until the public ask for meaningful music, movies and true stories that reflect Black, White, Latin, Asian and Middle Eastern life’s. We will continue to be served things that have no True Heartbeat. THANK U to the person who posted this video. Please post more like, God Bless!
This made me shed a Tear to see my beautiful Black sistahs represent from The R& B to Hip hop. I remember when this song dropped both versions. I remember it was so hard to find this song during the George Floyd riots ! But this song was powerful . ✊🏿🙏🏿❤️
I remember when this came out, I was in middle/high school and this meant everything to me. I had the entire album, and one of my FAVORITE movies!! All those artists were such a big part of 90s nostalgia..what happened? We lost our love for music, now we not original anymore.
I was 12 when this came out and even though I LOVED it then, to look back at it now and TRULY understand the things our people have endured on top of so many talented Black Women of that era coming together is nothing less than Divine. The 90s just hit different. 🖤
The fact that I'm listening to this on an extremely important election day when all of us who are marginalized need to show our unity to create the change we all need to heal our hurting country, says a lot...
I was playing this song in my car yesterday. As I'm driving, I noticed the truck in front of me has a Trump sign in the back. With the recent executive orders, this song is more relevant than ever.
I totally forgot about this song and movie. I have now added this to my everyday playlist 👏🏾😁🔥🔥. Thank you for posting this. 2025 and the next four years are gonna be challenging for all of us.
I’ve been thinking about this song over the past few weeks because it is relevant to then and now.... just like Carleen Anderson’s “Apparently Nothing” song
I always wondered why SWV, TLC & En Vogue didn’t film the scene with the other female artists in the chorus. I was never able to spot any of them and they were all bigger than more than half of the artists I’m sure the camera would’ve panned on them several times.
TLC filmed their parts separately to work around Lisa's schedule. She had legal stuff/restrictions/probation after the fire situation. TLC wanted to be apart of the video, so TLC's scenes were edited in.
EN VOGUE.... came in and SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!
Left eye and Aaliyah I just love and miss them dearly
Black Women Excellence. Black History Matters. Black Music Matters. Black is Beautiful.
ABSOLUTELY 😊😊😊😊
Lisa be preaching in her raps love TLC❤

May we always remember 1995 and all it brought us as a people
2025 and it's still a banger AND VERY RELEVANT!
They have buried both this song and the movie that it comes from. Thanks for posting this 90’s classic!
Exactly we still need this I wanted it to have the same following as b.m.u U Will Know in my mind it did this song was just as important.
Not to me I will continue to look for the movie until I find it.
They also buried the music group Arrested Development and that one track Revolution.
Can’t even find this on apple or Spotify
Right?!
OMG, can we PLEASE get back to this

They don't....sad to say.....❤
This still hits me the same way it did in 95’ when I was 12 years old 🙏🏽👑✊🏽
Still love this song!! There will never be another epic moment like this or Black Men United again, unfortunately. These lyrics still ring true now.

JLPerryTV That makes no sense. Several of the singers who had solos was in the crowd (Mary J., Aaliyah, Miss Jones, etc.)
supercoyboy2 Wow I never knew that thank you for the info. Is there a place I can read or see them speak on this?
@@downtown_ny458 I forgot where I read it, but TLC filmed solo and was edited in. They really wanted to be a part of this and they bodied it
