  • this video gives you an Idea about how you could replace an integrated bracelet for a strap. if you search long enough, you might stumble over a fitting bracelet at your local groceries store eventually, but I just started cutting up bracelets anyhow.

I just thought about one other thing I will in all likelyhood also make a video about and that is that you can swap bracelets with some of the other 20mm lug sized seiko5 watches. Whether you want to given the often appalling hair snatching quality of those is a different issue, but still. I have a SNKF series watch that has fitting male endlinks, covered by a 20mm folded metal sleeve in between the lugs. If you take the strap without the sleeves it fits quite alright.

Interesting, thanks. But how do you remove the strap pin, you missed that bit!?

Would also like to know how to remove the pins. Are they spring bars on the original bracelet? Straight pins? If straight pins, which direction should the pin be driven out?

On my Seiko they turned out to be pins not spring bars, you reach through an opening in the back with a flat screwdriver, lever a notch to start the pin coming out, then pull the rest of the pin out from the side with a pair of pliers. The direction was marked with an arrow. @@jlomein

In this watch and the other watches I have in the classic seiko5 line up they are spring bars. You can push them in through the holes on the side or reach them as normal with a spring bar remover. Either way is possible.

That does not look like an "integrated strap watch case" imno.
They look like standard end links. Pity you never showed us the back of the watch...

Hi. Did you ever found a factory replacement bracelet/band with no need to be modified for this watch? Thanks.

No, not from Seiko, but I must say I haven't looked for it either. I did however find a very suitable replacement for another watch with exactly the same measurements by coincidence. It was local grocery store stuff: cheap with even cheaper materials, but I had to try and it fitted well.
