Nice video, thanx for this. I love the way the leather successively comes into shape and is finished and polished all the way. And, seeing this line of production I can understand that these holsters cannot be cheap. Nice piece of craftsmanship.
Thank you for the complement. This is exactly why I make the videos. It gives people an opportunity to see the value. Sometimes its easy to get caught up in the "cost" of something and not consider whether it was made by a craftsman that cares what the customers wants and needs are. Thanks again for the reply.
Congratulations on the coming grandchild. I will pray that this will bring your family much joy. My wife and I just had our first grandchild this past November so I do understand that you will want to enjoy the new addition with out distractions. I will try to contact you in the fall and place an order. Thank you for letting me know so soon and once again congratulations to you and your family.
This video was very enjoyable. Great information for each step. The camera quality with the nice lighting really makes it easy to watch. Your shop is so clean and organized. Subscribed.
Love it. Never thought of fish skin. Great idea. i'm making my grandson an heirloom knife with sheath for his birthday. You inspired me to design part of it using fish skin. Thank you.
what a beautiful looking holster that is. I make leather holsters just for myself on a hobby basis and I definitely picked up a few different tricks. thanks for the video awesome job!!!
Great looking holster, very informative, I just started making holsters myself as a hobby, you have a ton of expensive equipment how much , and what type laser cutter is that may be my next purchase....this stuff is habit forming lol
Yep people sure do think leather work is just cut and go....And you have everything to make it that much quicker....Hell I spend days on sheaths, and holsters...Excellent job brother it is a monster...Got to have the optional clip to come with...so you can still wear without a belt....Awesome work...
I love that holster! I do a bit of leather working myself for knifes and such, and was looking for a way to do one for my gun and that is beautifully done sir!
I indent for the ejection port but my grandfather taught me to push it out after molding and you will get definition but no snagging or wear on the gun. Great vid, hope the hiccups got better.
Nice video. Must be nice using all that equipment. Other than the holes for the screw backs I don’t think I saw much hand tools at all. Lol. Makes me think I’ll make a video of how to make a holster without lasers and such. Looks great and great design. Hope you have a blessed day.
I am peanut butter and jelly, wow what a freaking shop setup! How much would it be to make a holster in your shop under your watchful eye? Amazing work and thanks for sharing!!
Great video! Earned my sub. Let me share a couple tips with you. Don't use any oils when finishing instead use a conditioner so the oil doesn't take out any of your molding. Try burnishing the edges with the dye. Dampen the edge with water and then put some dye on and then burnish. Your edges will be even better. I'm not saying anything is wrong with anything you do because that is really a awesome piece. Just like to pass things on to fellow leather craftsman that I have discovered along the way :)
Sir, you make BEAUTIFUL looking holsters nice to see a true craftsman at work and the options you offer is great ie colors , exotics, laser, .etc. etc. I do have couple questions on your iwb all leather holsters does the top of the holster collapse when re holstering and on your owb all leather holsters the attachments to the belt does it hold close to the body without roll . Again Sir very BEAUTIFUL looking holsters
On the collapsing.....Thats some what of a loaded question. The mouth of the holster is stiff and will hold open under what I consider normal belt pressure. LOL if you use a come along to tighten your belt probably not. :) The loops hold tight enough not to let your gun sag out. Obviously they are not as snug as a pancake style holster. I hope that helps.
Just found your page. Can you recommend a decent laser (I see this was filmed in 2017). I don’t know much about them, but sure saves time on cutting & like the ability to make designs like the skull. Gorgeous work. I guess that pattern could also be used for a paddle holster as well (substitute slots for the IWB straps). Enjoyed seeing you use the hydraulic press. I don’t have a vacuum or hydraulic press, but can modify my Kydex press & clamps to get the job done. Thanks for sharing your work.
Sir, if only you made holsters for the S&W 686 revolver w/3 inch barrel and unfluted cylinder. You would have my order tomorrow. That gun with one of your holsters would look amazing. I see your website says that you currently make small frame revolver holsters.
Awesome Craftsmanship and sharp looking Holster ! How much does IWB go for - approximately ? Also can you get these customized fit for make and caliber of firearm ? Thanks and keep up the great work !!! GOD Bless 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Deno, one like the video is roughly 200-220 depending on the exotic. I currently make holsters for most popular models of guns. Thanks, for watching
I love watching a craftsman/artist at their trade. Beautiful work and as a reviewer said below, it's a shame to have hide it inside your pants. I'd like to do something similar for my little 1908 Colt 25 auto except I'd wear it outside. Keep em coming
Great video. I just started leather working. I dont have any of that equipment tho. Just was wondering if youd do a video on how to do a similar holster completely by hand. I know its probably a much tougher job and takes longer, but since it's how I have to do things for a while, it would be nice to see from an expert.
i think you are great with your hands, a lot of talent and the product looks very sturdy and looks like it is going to last a long time. i really love it and looking forward to get one for my CZ-P-10 C. do you make a holster fore that gun?
Great video! I have been doing leather for about 2 years now and just now starting on holsters. I wish I had the experience and tools you have. And in particular the press. You get much better definition with it. And , if you don’t mind, about how much larger is the top half to the bottom? I’m having trouble with that part.
Kinda like takes the fun out of doing it all by hand. All in all it’s a great looking holster. I don’t think I would have put that much work for an IWB holster.
I really want to learn how to work with leather. I make hammocks and random things as a hobby that i figured out myself but leather seems so complicated to learn without being taught.
Look up Leodis leather here on youtube he was a huge influence on me when I was first learning the basics. He goes in-depth with most of his videos. Thanks for watching
I just bought a xtool s1 laser and it is on the way. I saw you burn your holster with your laser. I have struggled to find a video on that, what software are you running, and can you scan your holster patterns in and burn them to scale without having to manipulate them? By the way I really like the air pump on your press that is a great idea.
I used the basic software that came with the laser. - BUT- most of my patterns were made in Adobe illustrator and converted to a DXF file . I never found a good way to do things where I wasn't manipulating things. I just had too many patterns and graphics. Im sure it can be done but I was winging it.
Hi Michael, I have a new grand baby on the way. Sooooo to get a little free time to enjoy the new addition to the family, I have cut off all orders until Mid July 2018. After that just give me a call and I will write down all of your information and get you on the list.
Excellent video my friend. My wife is not happy with me watching your video's every tool you went to next she would say "Oh Lord" we cant afford that, When you went to the press, she was like, sheesh, finally something we have then she heard you running it and she was like "Our manual one is just fine." Quick question, do the locking button snaps have a larger center than the standard line 24 snaps, the reason I ask I have to keep manually filing the screw heads down a little all the way around to get them to fit into the male side of the Standard Line 24 snaps.? Or have you found a screw head that will fit into them better than the ones you get from the DIY holster stores..? Just FYI, I was sold when i seen and heard you talking to your daughter. Mine are grown now and Moved out of the house, I am sure you have heard it time and time again, they grow up so fast, but they really do, Seams like the other day mine was sick and I had her laying one my chest, now my youngest is 21 and the oddest daughter is 24, sheesh they grow up way to fast. Thanks again for the fun videos my friend and have a blessed weekend.
LOL my wife says the same thing. I had trouble finding screw heads that fit also. I finally found some at index fasteners. Give them a call and they can hook you up. My daughter just moved back to Tennessee and the shop is a lonely place now. So I know where you are coming from. Thanks for watching!
Thats too funny, One of mine live in NC, so they are not too far away from each other. Fun times. Yes sir, thank you, I found them on the website. I appreciate you taking the time to reply and I hope you have a blessed week, keep up the great work and holsters my friend.
After everything was said and done it was 7,000 ish. You can buy the laser its self for 6 but to get everything installed I had another grand in pieces parts.
Real nice holster I would like one. You apparently do not have a web site, at least I couldn't find one. I don't open social media accounts like instagram.
The resolene is a sealer for the leather, it helps keep the colors from fading and helps keep the leather from staining. Im sure there are other benefits im forgetting to mention. Thanks for watching.
There is much to like in this holster but I do see a potential issue with the design itself. I personally don't think there is enough room to grip the gun without incurring some interference from the belt loop. I think that on that side of the holster the design should be changed in a few ways. First I would make the holster wider, which in turn would move the belt loop further away from the pistol grip. Second, I would not have the holster's profile on that side moving upwards as it approaches the belt loop. This too is reducing the space for gripping the gun. I would have it come straight across in a horizon fashion as it moves towards the belt loop. And lastly, I would not have the belt loop itself sticking about the body of the holster. This too is reducing the space need to grip the gun with any interference. I don't think I have the ability to post any sort of graphics files, so I'm hoping that what I have written will make some sense.
F**KING awesome !!! Literally just started leatherworking two days ago with love to get to where you’re at. But in the meantime I would love to buy this holster for my Chiappa rhino 4 inch revolver outside the waistband. How much?
Hey brother you still around? Not sure if you remember the EDX X9 Holster you made for me. I was trying to get some info on it but can not find a contact number/email for ya'll anywhere.
Wow that's one bad ass looking hater and I'm glade it covers the whole trigger gard. I see a lot of let her holsters that don't cover the in tier trigger gard. Thell cover most of it but if there a little space at the back of trigger gard not Coverd and I can get my finger in ther and pull the trigger then the holsters crap. This is a good holster. And it looks awsome. He'll yea
Thank you for the compliment! Yes and yes to your questions, however I am not accepting any more orders until Mid July 2018. I have a grand baby due any day and am trying to get some time off to enjoy the new addition to our family.

craftsmanship with experience and knowledge = a beautiful holster! thanks.
Amazing work. People forget how much work goes into making a good leather holster. Great work sir looks awesome.
Great looking holster. I like the laid back way you make videos, got tired of seeing videos where people talk down to the viewer. Great job...
Darn fine lookin' holster comes out of the hands of a fine craftsman in his sure darn fine workshop!
I would love to own one of your holsters. Awesome craftsmanship and your daughter is a great videographer!
Wow that's beautiful. Hope one day I can be half that good

Loved the video very informative
What's the cost on a holster like this its really nice
Great video and thanks for teaching me stuff. I so not understand how the holster fits on the person though. Why the belt loops in the front?
The holster is inside the waist band. Another words you wear it inside your pants for conceal carry
Too beautiful to wear iwb. Great holster.
Kinda like takes the fun out of doing it all by hand. All in all it’s a great looking holster. I don’t think I would have put that much work for an IWB holster.

Hitech, about how much does a laser system like that cost?
After everything was said and done it was 7,000 ish. You can buy the laser its self for 6 but to get everything installed I had another grand in pieces parts.
Very nice holster! What size cleats and screws did you use to attach the straps?
Website isn't coming up -- still taking orders??
Can you do the same holster with a gun retention snap?
When making holsters, how thick should the leather be in terms of millimeters/ounces?
Could you please tell me what you use for the foam pads in the hydraulic press?

Where can I find the leather? My local fabric store only carries thin sheets.
A Tandy leather supply would probably be you best bet for a local supplier.

Beautiful holster
Seems like a damn shame to stuff such a beautiful holster down iwb were no one can see it.
