Billy and Steve were one of the most insane musician teams ever formed. Both are the best at their craft and great showmen. I loved watching them play together.
GREAT interview! Love Billy, and the Steve Steven's thing was new to me. That Guitar Player Magazine (red cover, behind Billy with EVH and Sammy on it) was the first time I was ever in the magazine. Mike Varney had put me in his "Spotlight" column that month. Great memories.
@@MastersofShred Mike was always brutally honest and it was inspiring but terrifying to have a call with him. He always ended up showing me somebody like Tony MacAlpine, Ritchie Kotzen, Greg Howe and many others to let me know what I was up against, lol! I ended up going a slightly different direction in life and have been composing and producing music for videogames and TV since 2005. Good times!
Love your Dweezil amp!!! Love to hear a demo!!! I almost bought one when it was released but had the Line 6 Vetta I and didn’t need another amp 😂 (always need another amp)
A MockingBird with an EverTune should be a crime. And Billy those were incredible Fairy In Boots and you gotta believe me. What a Monster Billy is. Andy James rocks too.
I saw Sheehan, and Vai, on the Eat 'em and Smile tour. As great as Steve Vai was and is, i found myself paying more attention to Bad,, Bad Business, Billy Sheehan on the bass guitar. Pretty sure that means he's a badass...
Until Images and Words came out, that Eat em and Smile Album was the most Musical and Pyrotechnical album. Ground Breaking, Eruption for forty minutes. And Dave held it together with his great narration and story telling. "....he said your messing with the Mayors daughter, OH NO!" so much imagery on a few lines. And Elephant Gun... Even the 'could have been questionable on a rock album' songs like "That's life" and California Girls" saw Billy and Steve did a great modern arrangement for them.

I’d love to see and hear an official quality release of that Eat’m and Smile tour.

Love hearing Billy talk about things throughout his career.
Steve Steven’s is a great guitarist and songwriter
I was trying to figure out where I had seen that late 50's hairdo.. Then it dawned on me. Johnny Bravo.. incognito? Great episode btw. 🏴☠
I love Billy! He seems like such a normal guy that just so happens to be an enormous talent.
I’ll never forget seeing those guys live back in the day. I stood in awe watching my hero’s as a teenager.
Great interview
Thanks so much for watching! Happy you enjoyed it!🎸🎸🎸

I've had a crush on Roxy for the past 35 years or so.

David is gonna shock us all like he did before remember Billy and Steve playing their knocks of with this party giant! 🎯🪨♨️

I've always wondered why Billy left after the first album and he wasn't involved with the skyscraper project

Awesome
Steve Steven’s would have been a great pair !
Of course Dave didn't want individual solos. It took up too much time. Time that HE could be in the spotlight.
Stevens is spelled with an apostrophe? I learn something new every day.
What about The Winery Dogs? Are they still together?
Yes; more to come.
