Pro tip and not even joking if you're a beginner wanting to start or are in lower ranks I would highly recommend True Draco Stun it's super cheap (I play 3-5 URs) and you don't need to play hand traps if you don't want to.
It's honestly an amazing option for a new account. Basically zero investment gems/dust wise, and can easily let you grind out gems/dust for your preferred deck. Also extremely easy to pilot while still teaching you a lot about interactions (it's not always just sitting on floodgates and watching your opponent flail)
Recently started a new account and yeah it is the best bang for your buck deal. By far the best investment for a new account to do early grinding with. Surprisingly good against mid range and even some meta decks.
This has to be said, if there is even a remote possibility that you might use a card in the future DO NOT decraft it even if your current deck doesn’t use it. Made that mistake too many times on my first account and wasted my UR points.
Ive started 3 months ago, already on diamond 1. The game is really complex and you need to invest a lot of time to even have a chance. So I agree that its not very welcoming for new players specially when the majority of players want braindead games with 0 complexity but if you like challenges, yugioh is a very good game. The problem I see with the game is that you need a lot of cards to be have any chance at winning even in Rookie. So either you buy gems with real money or you already have a lot of game knowledge to craft exactly what you need, which due to the insane game complexity might ve very hard.
Nope, in the recent Dkayed stream he mentioned he's waiting to confirm with his source. Honestly though, it's all but confirmed to be fiendsmith (with something else, maybe millennium?). February is anniversary and the timing fits. Gonna need some gems/dust for those definitely. Highly encourage you to save for it!
Why are there SRs on this list? URs and SRs should not be valued the same since SR dust is so much easier to come by. Every SR on this list should be in the "get first" tier
deck-building and piloting a deck are completely different skillsets. Just because you can build a deck doesn't mean you can pilot one and vice-versa. You cannot be a good deckbuilder unless you understand the current metagame extremely well. Every card choice is contextualized by the common cards you'll face up against when playing in ranked. It's why something like evenly matched is generally not a great option currently, but in the Kashtira meta would've made a lot of sense. With that said, your "point" doesn't really make any sense. New players should ABSOLUTELY take a deck from master duel meta. They'll have no frame of reference for how to build a good deck, and when they inevitably struggle, they won't know if it's because they are misplaying or building the deck poorly. Once they've understood how to pilot a deck and what other meta decks are doing, they can start to build their deck around their own preferences (what kind of non-engine, supplemental engines, etc.) This is an assumption, but you shouldn't act as if you are special or uniquely good at the game because you've built the deck "yourself" (which is unlikely to lead to a both good and completely unique build btw). Netdecking is not a shortcut, it's the starting point.
@@Hrybread Thank you so much for saying it, I'm glad that there are players with enough brain to understand that net decking is a fundamental tool to learn how to play

This game doesent get new beginners … . Playing against yubel & co in Rookie 5 is propably not that statisfying if you barely know the game rules😂😂

Well there are actually more new players than one might expect
I gotta command the patience my girlfriend is having for the past two weeks as I'm teaching her the game lol
Bystials stocks will rise soon.
Simply put, engine cards are what you need when practicing by yourself with no opponent. A hand full of non-engine won't get you anywhere.
Licht aushwälen
No new cards leak?

Ppl will just Go on MDM, copy & paste instead of building a deck
