We just bought one of these from our local Honda dealer for my husband to use as a work car. Yeah, it's old but it's in GREAT shape. Carfax says 1 owner, no accidents, 70,000 miles and we got it for $7,000.
Yup awesome and now that Biden President we got almost 5.00 a gallon of gas here in California with Newsome too sigh.. 08 civic EX-L going for 9k with 119,000 so… miss my payed off 2012 Focus Titanium Hatch manual transmission that had 215,000 on her and not one problem. But lady at fault pulled out in front of me.. sad day indeed. Now have to buy foreign as can’t get gas millions or all the features like my Ford had. Sigh
You stole that fucking thing look at the Blue Book oh my goodness what a great deal I paid $1,300 for a two owner 185,000 Mi 2006 LX Coupe.. I replaced the radiator the starter control arms put a K&N air filter in it deleted the exhaust and resonator its at 226k and it purrs.. this little engine loves Marvel Mystery Oil I put a little bit in my fuel in a little bit in my crankcase and it made a huge difference
Car is FANTASTIC, just bought one, gets great mileage, really light steering, sporty suspension, not to mention I'm 6'7" and I can fit in the back seats.
Anyone who buys this car is getting a GREAT car. And of course there are things uou should keep in mind, 1.the paint for the car is recalled, so you can basically get it repainted for free under warranty 2.the engine mounts tend to collapse at around 80k , again, covered by warranty. 3. Honda quality. So you can easily dent the car if you sit on top of the car, but easily drive 200k .. My cousin has this car with charcoal paint and black and chrome rims. Pretty nice..
This isn't the same Honda as the older ones it's the first one to use Honda's advanced body structure and is 30% more rigid than the 2005 model... It gets a 25 HP boost in LX trim so 115 HP in 05:to 140 oh 06 the biggest jump in horsepower the Civic has ever got in a year
@@kevinwhiting8391 my cousin had the exact same car and he sat on top of the roof and it dented slightly but it popped up again. My cousin was DONE with the payments and he ended up trading it in for an accord , then he traded THAT for a Hundai palisade, I still think he should have kept the civic tbh.. to have no car payment is what the dealerships don’t want you to have..

I'm thinking of buying this car with over 99 miles for 3500. I don't know if ts a good deal. Is there a lot of problems with this car? I read u have to change the mounts how much is that? I know nothing about cars completely clueless so if any body can give me some suggestions? I really appreciate it! Thank U😃
I just seen a car like this for sale near me with 90k miles for $7,000. Its looks just like this one but for some reason it don't have a sunroof. I thought all EX had sunroofs.
I think you just have to keep looking. If you don't mind the mileage then talk them into lowering the price. I want an 8th gen honda civic under $7500 with less than 100k miles. I've actually found a few; they're not exactly in the same area as me(NYC) but I'm willing to travel for it.
Jr545: no I would not take it it has to much miles I found a civic 2008 exl for 10,000 with 60,000 miles.. When buying a car don't get one that is over 100,000 unless if it 5,000$ or under.
I'm in Toronto and presently looking for a car just like this one, every listing is over $5000 with 120-170,000Km on it! They're all asking for 7500-$8000 and the price is all before HST, and the $500 for certification! It's ridiculous, these dealers are checking what the standard market value is for the vehicle and they play along. What to do!?
@@AutomotiveReview Ok, part of the issue is I'm Canadian, so there's the miles to km conversion. Where I live, people say 20,000 km per year is average/high. 1.6 km = 1 mile, so that is 12,500 miles per year. I'm currently shopping for a 8th gen civic that will have less mileage on it as of 2019 than when you made this video. I would definitely say that car is high mileage, but it just shows how amazing the car is that it can be driven as hard as you want for pretty much any time span.
@@booishoois309 Tbh I would be more comfortable buying a car like this, since it’s likely that because it has accrued so many miles in a short time, it’s highway miles rather than city miles.
Not a good deal. You pay that much money for something that's under 100k miles. I usually laugh at listing that have cars for over $5000 with over 100k miles on it. I'm in the process of looking for a car too and I've been seeing this problem a lot lately.

What do you mean the engine mounts are covered by warranty? At 80,000 miles the initial warranty would be over.
+Chris Frank not if you get the lifetime warranty
CasualDoom well the warranty doesn't cover engine mounts anyway.
