I read somewhere along the way that lagers have a much better shelf life than ales, has to do with the nature of lager yeast, so the expiration dates aren't as critical - although with Kellerbier, having it too old will probably defeat the purpose lol. Last Oktoberfest season I got some Spaten Marzen and found out when I got home it was well over a year old, but it was still fantastic. Anyway, great comparison, and thanks for the onscreen text!
I think that (cellar beers/Kellerbiere) taste best when the evening sun is in the sky and you linger in the beer garden at 24 degrees with a delicious Schäufele. Schäufele is a (Pork shoulder with dumpling and Sauerkraut). ;-) Nah great, now I'm hungry 🤭

Actually Urban Chestnut, is from Germany just North of Munich, and opened 2 breweries in St.Louis Missouri.
I didn't know that! Makes sense though - it felt really "authentic" as I remember it.
They are located in Wolnzach Germany in the Hallertauer region. The actual name is Urban Chestnut Hallertauer Brauerei.
