I think one of the biggest arguments for it, is that it would give people with disabilities more options. Think about it this way, if the employer had to pay the same amount for a disabled person as they would for lets say a non-disabled teenager, most of the time they would pick the teenager. This makes it really hard for people with disabilities to get jobs. So by lowering the minimum wage for just disabled people, this makes it easier for them to get a job, and they can still work towards a raise. I know it sounds REALLY shitty at first glance. But a lower income is better than no income (ignoring government benefits).

All had strict earning limits and all are legally entitled to a day program. They could earn some pocket money from a nonprofit, or sit around a DTA program (if they can find one) earning nothing, with no stimulation appropriate to their level of functioning. But what the fuck do you care you have feelings.

As a guy who should, by traditional and stereotypically biased gender standards, love the hair growing anywhere beyond just the top of my head or on my face, I actually don't. On the contrary, I find it absolutely bothersome and unsexy. I have huge respect for those who takes the time and effort to remove hair from unwanted places and manages to make it look silky smooth, because I have yet to even try doing it once and would love to learn how one day. And out of all the modern beauty standards, that's one of the few things that doesn't make you prone to unhealthy habits in your attempt to achieve it.

While you can technically learn anything online, you also have to recognize that there's a lot of ignorant bs that you'll have to sift through. There are also certain careers where experience is practically necessary. What college is supposed to do is provide you the information you need without the bs and provide you a safe environment in which you can gain said experience. So the question isn't "Why pay for something we can get for free?" It's "Is what I would pay for college worth the work I would have to do otherwise?" And depending on the field you go into, the answer to that question is occasionally no, but is more often than not yes. Unless you're going to be a surgeon. Or any other profession in which you can inadvertently kill people. In those cases the answer is always yes, go to college. The experience you get can (and probably will) save lives, and any lack of knowledge can end them.

You can learn the theory and methods online. But never the hands on experience if it requires more then just technology or food. Anything requiring other people either being operated on or working with you is something you just can't learn online as that's hands on experience that you need to physically be involved in, not just looking it up. But even things you can learn yourself, it's still easier to learn being taught by another directly. Either in video call or in person.

In many subjects you then have to also get hands on experience (with supervision in some cases, like for the doctor example).. None of that *requires* university (we used to do it via apprenticeship and some fields still do, and more options exist now), but we've kinda agreed to do it that way as a society and gatekeep. Not a reason to shit on people who legitimately learn on their own, or compare them to the "do your own research" dipshits, though.

Okay, my (awful) jokes aside and in all seriousness: these kinds of men latch on the _idea_ of a girlfriend and pine on a shadow like if it were the solution to their problems. They don't realize, or wilfully ignore, that their emotional immaturity will not prepare them for the problems that actually having a girlfriend entails. And "friendship with benefits" wouldn't work at all either because of the aforementioned lack of emotional maturity.
Having friends is always a plus, but an issue arises when these guys accept on being friends while not having the wherewithal to commit to the friendship and, very obviously, still want to get into your pants; which causes them to cross the line, being cut off, ultimately falling back on the "friendzone" bullshit spiral and devolve from there; all because they refuse to accept that they need to change and grow up.

As a guy who should, by traditional and stereotypically biased gender standards, love the hair growing anywhere beyond just the top of my head or on my face, I actually don't. On the contrary, I find it absolutely bothersome and unsexy.
I have huge respect for those who takes the time and effort to remove hair from unwanted places and manages to make it look silky smooth, because I have yet to even try doing it once and would love to learn how one day. And out of all the modern beauty standards, that's one of the few things that doesn't make you prone to unhealthy habits in your attempt to achieve it.

Actually, leg hair is useful in keeping bugs away via notifying your body that something is on your leg that isn’t supposed to be there. I notice more mosquito bites on my shaved legs then on my arms. Use the tip of your finger to gently push a hair on the back of your hand backwards and you will feel a weird tingling sensation. That’s the body reacting to movement on the hair.

While you can technically learn anything online, you also have to recognize that there's a lot of ignorant bs that you'll have to sift through. There are also certain careers where experience is practically necessary. What college is supposed to do is provide you the information you need without the bs and provide you a safe environment in which you can gain said experience. So the question isn't "Why pay for something we can get for free?" It's "Is what I would pay for college worth the work I would have to do otherwise?" And depending on the field you go into, the answer to that question is occasionally no, but is more often than not yes. Unless you're going to be a surgeon. Or any other profession in which you can inadvertently kill people. In those cases the answer is always yes, go to college. The experience you get can (and probably will) save lives, and any lack of knowledge can end them.

You can learn the theory and methods online. But never the hands on experience if it requires more then just technology or food.

In many subjects you then have to also get hands on experience (with supervision in some cases, like for the doctor example).. None of that *requires* university (we used to do it via apprenticeship and some fields still do, and more options exist now), but we've kinda agreed to do it that way as a society and gatekeep. Not a reason to shit on people who legitimately learn on their own, or compare them to the "do your own research" dipshits, though.
