You got to give credit to Ayew, strong, good technic to spin and strike, and the good fortune to deflect into the bottom corner. People are coming at Robbo for the goal, but in the sequence he made the best intervention of everyone between Trent, Grav and VvD. He forced Aiew out of a first time finish and to do a 360 turn into a shot. Trent couldn't get to the tackle. Grav couldn't stop the pass/cross. VvD was nowhere to be seen in blocking the pass either, nor properly close the shot window, for which all he could do was actually deflect it out of Alisson's reach. Not that it makes Robbo an ideal starter by now and not a weak link in the back line that FSG will have to adress in the next summer.

Hes not turned into a bad player, but on the flip side some fans think we are perfect. We weren’t close to perfect coming into the season when even our own fans thought we would only be challenging top 4 without any signings, and we aren’t now just because our manager is a genius. LB is one of the positions we could improve

But his form has been indifferent this season. When you have multiple people in our fanbase realising this, as well as former players you only hope the manager has this on his agenda and targets that area for recruitment.

@@Do27gg, I would say its pretty high up in terms of priority. I think saying its not urgent has allowed us to grow complacent in that area of the pitch resulting in most people piling on Robbo now. We have neglected that position for years and obviously Robbo has naturally regressed and I don't think Kostas is the long term answer for Robbo. I don't think Robbo is finished but he has so much milage on his legs from playing previous seasons for us. Playing for Scotland as well. He needs serious competition if we want to keep him at this club
