He should've start ahead of Nunez in the past season, it was just agonising to see Nunez squandered chances here and there and Klopp still stick with him, Gakpo is clearly technically gifted than Nunez despite come cheaper.
@@reincarnate3440he *was* starting ahead of Nunez. Klopp benched Nunez in march last year in favor of Gakpo and never looked back. Nunez had a very good Jan/feb, helping the team score goals in the extended absence of Mo Salah. However, he cooled off quickly and Klopp dropped him unceremoniously. That’s why Darwin briefly erased all mentions of Liverpool off his social media.
Gakpo and Diaz are the best left wingers in the league. I always see this as limiting the other because whoever plays a run of games will pick up form while the other will have to move to another position . Gakpo would've been in Diaz position had he not gone to international duty in South America which gave Gakpo a chance
Nunez is a center forward and has always been one, even back in his Penarol and Almeria days. He may have played a few games at LW and sometimes even RW, but that doesn't change the fact that his primary position is CF. Klopp did nothing wrong with Nunez, except place too much trust in him.
Two mistakes and obsession by Klopp, Naby Keita and Darwin Nunez. Still confuse me that Klopp opted to sign a forward in Nunez in that season where VVD absent for half of the season, his obsession in prioritising attacking position and far from level headed approach is his flaw in management.
Average Gakpo performance: loses the ball 8 times, 10 backwards passes, 1 forward pass, 0 1vs1, 0 chances created, 1 shot, 1 goal in an empty net from 1 meter, And people see this every week and call him Robben. Genuinely, what does he even do?
Gakpo has the best goal ratio in the team ( excluding Danns cos it wouldnt be fair with sample size). After scoring his last goal against utd gakpo takes top spot for goal ratio in the team. Followed by jota and diaz respectively. Salah is fourth for goal ratio excluding penalties because the other forwards never get a chance to take them. Makes you wonder why the top 3 for goal ratio never get a chance to play together. Both Diaz and jota can play on the right
0:30, every one of us on this planet is a countryman, so, jonah lomu, ian thorpe, rahul dravid, belinda clarke, you and i are fellow countrymen. what you meant to say is slot was helping 'his countryman', not his fellow countryman.
1:35 the assertion that if one player (in this case Nunez) is replacing another (in this case Bobby), they have to have matching profiles is just embarrassingly stupid. When fab left, who replaced him? Ultimately Grav, who couldn’t be more different. Yet he’s performing great. When coutinho left, who replaced him? Nobody! Yet the team got better. Do you have ANY examples of like for like replacements at LFC? You make it sound like these are the norm, which they decidedly arent. They are exceedingly rare. And on top of that, you seem to think that because Bobby was a withdrawn 9, Klopp wanted Nunez to be a withdrawn 9 as well. Are you aware that Klopp had Robert lewandowski at borussia? There was ZERO expectation that Nunez was going to be a withdrawn 9. Quite the opposite, one of the biggest reasons Nunez was signed was so that he can be a back post goal threat for TAA’s crosses. In addition to being an air threat. ie old fashioned no 9 characteristics. Shambolic, amateurish analysis.
gakpo is frustrating to watch going forward: no matter if it's robertson, tsimikas or anyone else on the left side, gakpo flatly refuses to feed runners on overlapping runs. he uses them to attract defenders away from himself, then cuts in, like a right-footed robben. so, chance after chance go to waste because of gakpo's selfishness(?) or obstinacy.
Gakpo was always a beast, look at the euros

Gakpo is a modern player not a beast if anyone comes near him he dives on the ground !!!

finally, he is getting the praise he deserves
Gakpo- if Robben was a left winger😂
Love from Malawi 🇲🇼 #YNWA

Great video as usual, BIG GAK‼️

Gakpo better
Same thing happened to Darwin, he was shining as a left winger in his previous team and Klopp try to convert him to a 9...
I was told he was a forward...😮
Ah shut up man Darwin is just shit 😂 Gakpo is acc a winger Darwin failed as a ST so now u wanna turn him into a winger

Look at Gakpo FBREF numbers and he's elite in every department. Similar to Saka his underlying numbers
Edit: lol mentioned in the video
Are you guys on TikTok? I constantly tell my followers to come watch your videos but can never seem to tag you??
It’s very unfair for Luis Diaz that he’s put in a bad position for him his performances have deteriorated.
Bro told us multiple times the videos about to start an we have to subscribe
Big up my Ghanians 🇬🇭 3:49
So is he playing more as an inside forward or a left winger? Thank you
No Szobo has been painful
Those are tottenham players not city's

Because goal ratio doesn’t decide everything in football. Next question.
@SKa-tt9nm for a forward goals are the measure. Nunez can't score goals thats why people want him out. So you're wrong.

Graham warned Klopp that Nunez wasn't a false 9, he wasn't misprofiled.
Nobody ever thought Nunez was a false 9. Least of all Klopp.

Shut up man I would rather him do that and shoot than pass to our lb and cross it to no one and he’s been one of our best players this season
