- Stuart is back with a flight demo of the Durafly (PNF) Goblin Racer 820mm EPO! Enjoy and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
This great-looking little racer can trace its lineage back to the very popular Rare Bear which we sold a few years ago. This was a very fast parkflyer based on the Reno Racers that was amazing fun to fly, was very tough, and became a firm favorite extremely quickly.
Get the Durafly (PNF) Goblin Racer 820mm EPO Yellow/Black/Silver: bit.ly/3BR5J3S
The Goblin carries on all these traits coupled with great looks and attention to detail. It comes with a choice of 2 eye-catching color schemes either yellow/black/silver or pink/blue/black and factory-applied decals. It has scale-looking ribbed control surfaces with dummy trim tabs on ailerons and elevator, racy-looking teardrop blisters on the cowling, and a streamlined painted canopy. A huge spinner that flows into the cowling profile finishes that streamlined racy look. The Goblin looks good on the ground but even better in the air with its tapered wing and rounded wingtips and tail feathers.
Power is provided by a powerful pre-installed 3536-1400KV brushless motor turning a 7 x 6 2-blade prop, this is coupled to a high-quality 45 amp Aerostar ESC. 3 x 9g servos with pushrods and control horns are also pre-installed which makes for a very quick assembly time. The wide-bodied fuselage not only looks good but allows plenty of room and access for a 1000-1800mAh 4S battery. This combination of a lightweight EPO airframe, a high-power brushless motor, and a simple aileron and elevator setup puts the Goblin amongst the most exhilarating park flyers on the market today.
So why not get a bunch of your flying mates to also purchase a Goblin, set up some pylons, and do a bit of inexpensive pylon racing, it's great fun. There is no need to modify the Goblin and large individual race numbers are supplied to tell who is who. It is fast and great fun to fly as it comes out of the box which will keep the racing more evenly matched for more exciting finishes. To make things even more exciting why not design your own FPV platform and have great fun FPV racing with the Goblin.
Features:
• Quick assembly, can be ready to fly in 30 minutes

• Large individual race numbers included

Stuart ! Nice 🙂 to see another nice review & nice to see you 👍 ! I am slowly recovering from my health 💜 issue. I very recently made my first HobbyKing purchases in 2-years. From HobbyKing USA, I got the H-King Hawker Hurricane PNP 750mm ( 30-inches ) at a fantastic sale price of $59.99 plus other odds & ends. The entire stock sold-out in about 1-day ! From HobbyKing Global ( Hong Kong) I got me a couple of OrangeRX DSM2 / DSMX transmitter modules ( one switchable; one not ) for only $4.99 each plus some other small odds & ends. I had always wanted these transmitter modules, but these sale prices simply blew me away !
By-the-way; shipping from both HobbyKing warehouses ( USA & Global ) was ultra-fast.
Thanks for the detailed explanation 😊 Durafly EFXtra, Live up to its name, I think efxtra is one of the great performance race plane ever. One of my friend put 6S battery in it and it’s speed is absolutely insane!!!! 😂
That's a screamer Stuart! 😁 Looks like a blast! Nice flying man!
Thanks 👍
bought my summer of 2020, I nickname it my voodoo child !! Stuart nice flying !!
Although its a yank and bank, I'd still call the Goblin an advanced model. Its very small, and very fast, and super twitchy. Its really easy to lose orientation, and not a very good glider so landings are very fast, or it stalls. The price makes it very tempting for beginners, but it probably wont live long, and will crash spectacularly.
She's Cookin!!!
The Durafly Goblin is currently ( as of: 21 December 2022 ) in stock & on sale for $119.99 ( USD ) at HobbyKing USA. On backorder at HobbyKing Global ( Hong Kong ) for $119.99 ( USD ). Sold-out at HobbyKing EU; was at a drastic sale price of $69.99 ( USD ).
Thanks for the breakdown. Please all note more stock is on its way.
@@HobbyKingOfficialAs of 21 December 2022 the " Slow Poke " is still out-of-stock at HobbyKing USA. Sarah at HK USA told me they are having supply-chain issues. They already have one container ( she said the battery shipment ) sitting at the Portland, Oregon shipping docks which still has not gone through customs.
Yeah they never have stock ....they keep saying it's coming but for like 6 months still no
@@Krash_fpv Supply-chain issues for EVERY business since the COVID-19 issue. It's not just peculiar to HobbyKing.
Looks like a Nice beguinner plane. I"ll go for it. Will ride like I rented it.
?
Pretty much like the fun fighters
Just bought one on the hobbyking sale. Maidened today. No problems on low rates, lots of fun. Will try on high rates tomorrow. Hand launches exacly like efx racer. Andy in UK.
Do u use gyro?
@@akmalmarzuki8660 yes, safe mode on hand launch, then flip to ax3x when airborne. To be honest it is probably is ok without. I use 60 percent power on launch.
It looks pretty good. I want to use the 2200 battery. Is there enough space to put the 2200 battery? Can I fly comfortably without the gyro? Is the throttle at 50% at launch?
Hk lost me when they moved away from the uk
Models cost a fortune now to post .
Lipos are a good price but once again add on the postage and it’s expensive.
Yup. Me too. HK stuff is not on my radar, however good that may be.
Awesome flying once again. Is that Tom on the camera?
This time yes it was Tom stepped in to help out.
I’ve probably crashed mine 20 times and the only thing I broke was props. I bought a spare wing thinking I’d need it but I don’t even remember where I stored it to frankenstein it on another plane that did crash spectacularly
i dislike this plane the most out of any plane i have ever flown. i was really disappointed. i have been flying since early 80s and with out an rudder it will tork roll like a cosair with no authority to correct or recover. i thought it would fly like a pylon like a vodoo or rifle, it doesn't. i politely cant recommend this plane i wish i could. efx is way better
HK seems to only want to sell planes.
Too much LiPos and accessories are missing
Please go back to your fundamentals that made your success in the past.
Supply -chain issues fella. Take that into consideration. There are some things totally out of HK's or anyone else's control. This world -wide supply-chain matter got exasperated after covid-19 and has lingered.
