13:32 According to this documentary back in 1967, one of the freelanced Disney animators (who had a couple of hidden dark secrets that can lead to his own chronic death in a basement of his own house where locked all doors never to be seen again) ever did a pencil test of a walk cycle during the 1940s and early 50s.
Wholeheartedly agree with Slap Stick - the American animation had character which Williams robbed it of in the do-over. Of course, it's out of context without seeing the completed film, but still...
The bizzare thing is that I feel like if the Richard Williams of the 80s directed the scene, he might have wanted it done in a completely different way. 60s Richard Williams worked in a more stylized manner, similar to UPA where he used to work. But the Roger Rabbit era Williams might have liked the first animation take better.

I saw Richard Williams present The Thief at MOMA yesterday and I am still pretty floored. The man is a true master.

If it was still around, I would like to work there, and became an animator for sure.

I thought the first animation was way better than the second one Jackson did.
yes, the animation might be good, but it doesn't fit into the mood of the film.
