    At 29:07, can you clarify what Javier was saying are the cuts vs Mono Green? He’s saying always bring in 2 Go Blank, 3 Extinction Event, 2 Pithing Needle, and 1 Duress. Then for cuts: always cut the 2 vehicles, 2 Graveyard Trespasser, 2 Bonecrusher Giant and for the last 2 cards it’s (2 more Bonecrusher Giant on the draw and 2 Fatal Push on the play)? Javier wasn’t completely explicit about the last two cuts on the play but did spend some time talking about how Bonecrsuher and Fatal Push are interchangeable on the play but how Fatal Push is irreplaceable on the draw.

      Yeah this was confusing to me too, unclear what his SB plan is there

      I think it's all about the elves. On the play, you play land first, and if your opponent cast elves, you can stomp that elves in your turn with 2 lands. But on the draw, your opponent can cast elves in turn 1 and cast Troll or Kiora in turn 2 and Bonecrusher Giant is just not good.

    Thank you for this. I'm not very good at Magic and lately I've been really burned out because it feels like there's no resources available for me to improve at all other than just playing and trying to figure it out myself (which I'm evidently not good at). This makes me excited to go and jam some games in right now.

    That was really good, thanks. I try to make Enigmatic matchup a little bit better as we have more and more of then here.
    Do you think early Cleansing Wildfire can help there?

    Question! I noticed no Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in the list over a basic swamp. Is this because you didnt want to mana fix the opponent? Or is the value on having the mountains/den/sulferous not as beneficial to be psuedo duals in a pinch?

    seems like a good deck, but would definitely like to see some different cards in it. I know I run this in explorer.... there is a slight difference, but I have noticed my version is a bit grindier. Decklist is there so make of it what you will.

    Hi Mengu, can you clarify the SB plan for Control? Javier said that he boards in 2 Go blank, 2 Bankbuster, 1 Duress, 2 Needle, 1 Skysovereign (8 Cards),
    And he boards out 4 Pushes, 3 PWK, 2 Trespassers and Hearse (10 cards).

      You have to pick which answers you want to have depending on what you see. PUsh extinction event etc.

    • @bobbyfortanely
      @bobbyfortanely Год назад +4

      Additionally, it’s also clocks them very quickly. It’s quite easy to trade resources in early and turn the game into a topdeck war (particular postboard when you have better-suited answers). When that happens and you get to spend all your mana pumping the shadow, you get to end the game before they topdeck payoff cards.
