Lyrics:
It must be your skin I'm sinking in
It must be for real 'cause now I can feel
And I didn't mind
It's not my kind
It's not my time to wonder why
Everything's gone white
Andeverything's gray
Now you're here now you're away
I don't want this
Remember that
I'll never forget where you're at
Don't let the days go by

My big sister listened to this song on repeat all the time. I fell in love with it and would sneak in her room and listen to it when she wasn't home. I lost her a few years ago to cancer. She was only 37. Miss you Tiffany.
Damn she's only 3 years older than me. Sorry for your lost man. Cancer is a bitch. She had great taste in music
Listen to it from time to time again without her knowing, my friend. I believe she appreciates it wherever she is..
I love my sister....thank you.
❤
God bless you chum, thoughts are with you.
The lack of drums in this song always gives me melancholic chills. Instead, they used the violin and/or cello, which makes it even more eerily beautiful. One of my favourite songs.
I like the fact that it’s an electric guitar instead of an acoustic one. Makes it feel a bit more aggressive and emotional.
Holy smokes, Never Even frickin Noticed. Thanx
Never noticed myself
Legit! I was looking for songs for my son and I to jam to. Thought this one would be easy on the drums and I had a wtf moment! My ears were playing tricks on me in the 90's! lol! Good ol music!
Awesome song, love the absence of drums.
One of those rare occasions where the song, music video, lyrics, and instrumentals are all a masterpiece.
My son, Steven use to sing listerine...God, you have him now. What I would give to hear him sing this just one more time😢
You do, in your memories. But I get it. RIP Steven 🤗
I’m sorry for your loss
😢
My condolences. 🙏
SO sorry for your loss. I lost my son also. My heart aches for you
I was in my mid 20s when this song came out, now im an old fat man in my 50s, a broken body but eased mind, the nostalgia rolls over me like a velvet freight train, an ache for old friends ive not seen in so long, my life now is passing so quickly it seems, then time stretched out on and on...i dont know where im going with this, i reckon i miss the people of my youth, i dont miss the confusion, i miss the time stretched leisurely out before me, i dont miss the lack of direction and wishing i could be a better man, i like to think i became that better man, and this song helps me to put my life into perspective with its harsh contrast of 20s me and old man me.
I completely understand
Aww this was incredible
Stay up man.
Don’t worry mijo its ok
Beautifully put. ♥️
This song is just so perfect, the 90s were just unreal for alternative rock

This song. Full stop. Just listen to the lyrics. Beautiful. The vocals, the cello, the violins, the electric guitar. This is the type of song you want in a Time Capsule.

I was 17 when Sixteen stone was released, now I'm 42. Good thing is age doesn't exist in music. Hearing it now in 2019 makes me feel I never got old a single day 😀.
Jeremy Cubs I’m 15 and I only found sixteen stone last week. Can’t get enough of it. Loved this genre of music for ever but never come across bush until recently.

We used to be so young, so beautiful, so full of promise. Running around trying to figure out who we were and who we wanted to be. We didn't need to understand the chaos of the world around us, we just needed to know we were different and we carved our mark into a world that didn't get us. I dedicate this one to all my Gen-X peepz. Never forget how good we truly had it, and how cool we truly were.
I have been sending videos like this to my grandkids for about 10 years. This one got a nod of approval.
At 15 I got to see Nirvana, then Soundgarden.. at 16 I saw Bush. And damn, what a time it was to be part of the grunge scene. Happy to remember it. Epic era for music.
So jelous

The 90's - the peak of human civilisation. It's all been downhill from there...

yep it was the last of the generations before the iphone in which everyone became cyborgs
that also means its are own fault it is the way it is today
@@cornflakes421 partly, yes - as a generation. *Partly*. However, the trajectory of decline was already in place before Gen X.

Actually so nice flicking through the comments while listening to this, so many stories about what the music means to people, where they were/are in thier lives. Honestly a much needed boost of positivity right now.
I do it too. I can't watch a video if there aren't comments.
And this tells us that those acts that palpably slow time down, are precious. An afternoon in the woods (without ''devices''), thumbing through pictures of your friends on a Saturday afternoon, meditation, and dusting off and getting lost again in the music that in youth we believed would be our daily fare. 😌
I never got into Bush back in the day. It was too bleak n depressing as I was highwired n more into 70s n wore vintage clothing n driving cheap classics like my 72 nova n 63 impala n 75 comet in high school. But this was so overplayed at parties that I can now close my eyes when sipping n relive so many good times n wonder where everyone is now. I haven't seen any of em since then. I was actually nicknamed Shaggy from Scooby-Doo cause I looked like him haircut n all n was told I was born 20 yrs too late..lol listening to this now tho mellows me out even tho I'm still spun n started a new career in my mid 40s building and n climbing windmills. Use to hackey sack everyday back then n ride my bmx everywhere with my friends so it only took me 2 weeks to get back in shape to climb 170+ft wind turbine towers now..lol that's on top of 31 yrs smoking since 12 yo n drinking parties age 13..lol listening to these lyrics now of Don't Let The Days Go By mean different to me now from back in the day. Now I live everyday to the fullest n bought another 84 Silverfox Racing BMX to hit the streets with on days. Kids now don't even know what a bunny hop is is over curbs n shit. It's so sad. Sad as this song used to be for me..lololol
Absolutely! ❤️
mmm yes, all the comments about death are great positivity, reminds me of how pointless life is and that theres no point to anything at all as we all die and in a few years are totally forgotten
This song was my best friends favorite song.he drowned when I was 17 back in 98 and everytime I hear this song I can still hear his voice singing it.brings tears to my eyes just thinking about him and the great times I had back in the 90s as a teenager.
Same for me.
This song is why I love 90s music.

I'm 63 and have lived through Zeppelin, The Who , Beatles, Stones ect. I miss their music terribly. Gave up on rock and roll for awhile. Then grunge hit. Fuck man, I've lived through some great music. Please come back rock. Man I miss you.
Well I 56 and started out with Zep, Black Sabbeth, etc. and by the 90s thought it was over but grunge gave me a 2nd wind for music. But I have to say post 2000 I can't name one song or group that I know or like.

i cry when i listen to this song. a friend of mine, i knew him since i was three years old, died yesterday. he was always fun at parties, but in private he was the melancholic philisophic one. he drank a lot to calm his mind, did drugs since he was 16.
this was our song at the end of a party night, before we separated and went home.
we always told him to stop, to take care after his body... endless nights talking, we tried so hard. it was his decision to continue destroying himself.

Great song that definitely brings back SO many memories of the time when I first heard it and all the thousands of times since then!!! ❤❤Love it😊
Got to see them perform in December. The energy given to their performance was outstanding. Could not believe they have been performing for so long.
I'm 40 and still love this song as much as I did at 15
Me too
I'm 44 and still rocking this song
I'm 50 and still come here and listen to it at least once a week. I was in a rough time in my life at about 22 when this song came out and its very melancholy.
Same
sigh .. same
Makes me think of my son. 😢 He passed away when he was 8. I miss him so much it hurts. I wish I could talk to him… I have so much I wanna say.
Until then, I hope he’s resting peacefully.
rest in peace. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you get to see him again.
I hope he is too. If you don't mind going dark, you could try a 5 plus gram mushroom trip. It was cathartic for me. Really helped make the pain go away. I hope you find find yourself again.
My condolences sir/mam , may he rest in peace . That had to have been so depressing losing him , but I bet you gave him a great life .
I will never know your pain, but I know he is surrounded by love and light; rest easy friend.
My condolences for you loss. I cannot even imagine that kind of pain. May God ease your pain. Live right & l9ve him as he was. I pray that when its your time , you see him again . God Bless you & yours.
Listening to America First Radio and now I really appreciate some of the music of my Decade! Great song! ❤❤❤❤
A big six-legged spider come crawling over me a moment ago. He was really cool and right away we became great friends.
3-14-2019 I'm 39 and this brings me back to my childhood. I miss these days so much just hanging out listening to music. The music from back then makes so much more sense.
I'm 38 and it makes me miss the 90's when the world wasn't crazy!!
Nostalgia hurts so bad when you know it’ll never go back to how it was and it’ll never get better than it was then.
Exactly.
So true today sucks.
It's got to get better. There's always hope.
@@futuristcorporation I hope so bro.
It hurts all the more now living in this absolutefuckin hell this world has become
This song has always hit something inside me and i cant explain why but i like it.
Coming back and listening to a band I’ve not in years, got good memories of spending my twenties helping set up your concerts lol now I sit here middle aged and can’t sleep because my back hurts lol so reminiscing on my youth and realizing it kicked ass.
We've all been through hardship. Everyone reading this has managed to overcome their own issues and hurt, in a sense, this is what bonds us. We are all brothers and sisters. Love you guys x
Well said! 🙌

I remember listening to this at 6 years old. I’m 29 now almost 30. How fast time goes when you don’t think about now and instead of the next time you are off work. Or vacation. Man
May 2024. They sang this on the Today Show this morning and sounded great! What a treat!
