These works show an astonishing early maturity of the composerm, who had just come to his teens. Several passages sound clearly like Beethoven already, not only those which he re-used in the early piano sonatas.
Beethoven revised this adagio for his first published piano sonata, Op. 2 no. 1. Comparing the two versions is very throught-provoking and rewarding. See Lockwood's splendid biography of Beethoven, p. 60-61 §3.

Ms. 37 is either same harmony or same notation we find a bit later . He was 15 : had already learned plenty except that like so many beginning composer- pianists (Beet also played string instruments ) gives all the flighty passages to piano instead of 1st violin !
The oppositeis true. This work was written in 1785 when the composer was only 15. 10 years before he started his op 2 set of piano sonatas dedicated to Haydn.
several comments mention the so-called "mozartian influence"... but this was just the dominant style in austro-german music of the late 18th century ... Mozart is probably the most famous representative of the period, but he is far from the only one

amazed how many times beethoven re-used some themes from his piano sonatas, very cool stuff!
You mean 'in his piano sonatas', because those sonatas, came after this.
6:07 piano sonata no 1 beethoven mov 2 hmm.
Even this simple work is wonderful
Very influence mozartian!
You are not signal to note that)
It's not .
It's the generic Viennese Classical style, but with Beethovenian energy through and through.
1:02 ???????????????? Sonata op.2 no.3??????
That's the one! Racking my brains trying to remember it
😆😆😆
14:47 is my Favority

To my ears, easily the most budding-Beethoven of WoO 36.
The Adagio of this piece sounds very similar to the Adagio of the F minor Piano Sonata Op. 2 no. 1, just harmonized for a quartet.
Indeed, I Went there to check

Yup, that melody would sound great on the violin
0:33 sounds exactly as if it was ripped out of Beethoven's sonata no.3, 1st movement.
As well as 1:03.
The opposite is true. This work was written in 1785. Beethoven re-used these passages in later works. He did so at several opportunities.
@@olavtryggvason1194 I see, thanks for the clarification. I'm always confused with the dates.

Interesting, but in effect a piano concerto with strings. But B used some of these tunes in his early piano sonatas.
The "mozartian" influence in this piece is deafening
No it doesn't. It's Beethoven through and through.
I guess every famous composer wrote a masterpiece in their teens. Maybe I'll give up
This shit fucking bops at the gym!
Holy fuck dude i was thinking the same thing!
7:35 me when I shart
🤣🤣💪
Beethoven ist sicher sehr geehrt durch Deine Aussage. 😂😂😂😂
I believed these works were edited in print already 1785.
I almost misheard the first part as that from Mozart's Oboe concerto XD

Mozart was 29 at this time :-)
