Pedant Alert, Pedant Alert... If you are going to do these contests please factor in eBay fees as some of these would not have been profitable in the way you are suggesting. Also you are in some cases charging almost 5 quid for an item that costs less than the postage and would fit in a jiffy mailer. This would 💯 put me off bidding. Just charge 2nd class large letter or small parcel for stuff under 20 quid to encourage more bids. You get £20 compensation included on those items anyway.
Yeah It’s like when you watch antiques Roadtrip and they don’t take into account the cost of petrol in those old classic to go round picking up the items…. and that’s the BBC with 50 people in the credits. This is made by just the three of us as an online show, so yes there’s lots of cost factors that would be dull to list on the screen for the average viewer such as p&p etc. It’s as real as we can make it but it’s a construct to make an entertaining show.
