- Better late than never. I forgot to mention that by 2001 (approximately) Kaneko stopped using a mouse and started using a drawing tablet.
The song used is Nocturne's Unused Sound Test.

Its really humbling to think someone who I idolize so much like Kaneko even had moments of self doubt, crazy to think his art is still relevant even after all this time
Hello Johne
I missed using the megaten minute theme :)
I remember some time ago I was looking up why it was that Kaneko wasn't doing much these days and saw a Reddit comment saying that he was just lazy because if he wanted to make the designs of any project he could do it because of his seniority and he just didn't want to, now I get that it was to give the spotlight to the new generation of artists, what an awesome dude!
Crazy how alot of Atlus employees have characters in persona 2
I love how they did that tbh
as someone who didnt grew up with SMT or persona and been catching up as an adult, the speed on which Kaneko became one of my most beloved artists is really remarkable. Dude's such a legend, i cant state how much i envy those who worked on his crew and had the oportunity of being his close friends and coworkers (And seeing how monstruous they also grew to become as artists themselves, its asfe to say kaneko is one hell of a great mentor too). What a beast
I really loved this video. Kaneko has such a distinct style and design that fits PERFECTLY with Megami Tensei; not even just the demon designs, everything feels specifically made for his artistic vision. The man deserves appraisal like this. To me, he's on par with an artist like Yoshitaka Amano but with antithetical aesthetics; the art is synonymous with each respective franchise, but MegaTen is nothing like Final Fantasy. And how could I forget, he's keeping the black lipstick look alive.
Overall, amazing video!! You earned yourself a new sub, and you deserve so much more~!! Also, your hair is absolute goalsssss
I love kaneko's art he is one of the best artists of i have ever known
i cant believe u dissed maya amano like that
😂😂😭
Ayyy, Larrue dropped another video. Props for always havin’ interesting videos on Creators.
Where is Kaneko tho? I really wonder where did he go.
>:(
he is in flower field...
Aha! I just noticed those sweet big Kazuma Kaneko artbooks behind you. Boy oh boy! Those re real grails. Subbed!
you have wonderful hair.
man great video, you deserve more support :D
wow I didn't know about a lot of this stuff, this is super cool
Amazing vid! I believe I learned a lot.
Where’s Simply Dad? He’s here isn’t he?
Oh... So that's why Shigenori Soejima took over... that was the only part i never understood. Nice to know it was to give new talents an opportunity. It's also nice to know more megaten fans out there 😭 i always thought we were just a few 😂
keep the good work larrue
To me it’s like he’s now the Demon Editor given his new advisory role. I have wanted to write a tribute to him as a demon himself where he’s a Count of Hell, who like his real life counterpart draws the demons but it’s more like the Cathedral of Shadows demon chronicler and recorder/Beastiarian.
Thank you Is really hard to find people talking about game artist in general.
Great video.
Nice
Very fascinating well done
Excuse me!!!!! Maya Amano all the way it's whoop ass time!
why is megumi shiraishi almost absent from the megaten wiki.. it sucks how it seems she's been literally erased, soejima only receiving the credit
Tbh before I started talking about her she was largely unknown. That and her only appearing in less than four interviews makes it hard to say anything as none of those are translated.
Plus the fandom wiki is not the best resource to begin with.
She's still credited for all her work up to modern day games as recent as persona 5, smt4A and strange journey. She is usually credited as the demon modelling supervisor and or as a special thanks in many of the persona games. So it is likely that she is still a part of the company.
Review The Adventures of Gummi Bears
very enjoyable and quite informative video tbh
Your videos have nice vibes
Ayyyy Atlus Faithful
And kaneko he good friend with araki the author of jojo himself and having Interview with each other
Kaneko had a lot of friends, Kojima, Araki, and Kobayashi just to name a few
FYI I linked the interview in my sources haha
Larrue thanks
@LAW I think neither, in their interviews they explain the inspiration for jojo and persona and neither claim to be inspired by eachother. I think it's just think it's a circumstance where two people made similar things. In an 1996 interview Kobayashi also interviewed with Kaneko and shared that she too loves fashion and is inspired by it in her work.
@@Larrue I have similar thoughts too. Never believed that Persona was inspired by Jojo and vice versa, only then people notice the similarities because of Persona 4 and Jojo Part 4... And really hitting the nail when the game itself reference Jojo. Haha.
@@n-extrafries-surprise The SImilarities is because both are inspired by Twin Peaks.
i love your hair and this is wholesome, subbed
I love your hair and glasses they are gorgeous

This is all doo doo
Does Megumi Shiraishi still work at Atlus?
She's not credited to my knowledge in smtv so I don't think so
@@Larrue Thanks
Dang. Didn’t know Maya was the worst design in MegaTen.
I think he is saying this for the Maya figure and not Maya herself
Trick or Trique her costume is pretty weird tho, on the bad side of weird
Thats was a joke
While I prefer Soejima kaneko's artwork is still amazing and important to my love of the series.
🥚 filth
