Nilipek. - İbrahim (Şen Bakkal Live Session)

İbrahim was the opening song for the 'mektuplar' (letters), also being the first song written for the album. It was one of the three songs that were written during the recording sessions of the 'döngü' (loop); so it can also be taken as the result and the end of the loop. In its story there are emotional emptiness, pals who leave all their books while leaving the country and friends' shoulders which I lean on.
With respect to the poet Asaf Halet Çelebi and his nephew Ahmet Çelebiler who gave us the permission to use the poem...
On April 29, we entered Şen Bakkal Studios and recorded the songs on 'mektuplar' live; after its release we neither could play the songs live, nor knew where they reached or who they touched. These letters which were written, put in envelopes and sent a year ago, were almost lost for all this time and have just reached their adresses when re-recorded live.

I'm a russian musician from Vladivostok/Saint Petersburg and I absolutely love this song. Don't understand a word though. But the music is so intricately composed and arranged, ant it's so emotional and interesting, that I instinctively hold my breath at some moments.
