  • Here is a quick video tutorial showing how to import into your daw the audio files that the X-Live SD-card recorder creates.
It will show you a how-to for Reaper, Logic, Studio One and Cubase. I decided to put everything into one video since I think it is important to showcase different options in one place.
As always, there are many ways to skin a cat so keep that in mind while watching this video.
If you like the background music I'll be happy to tell you that it is from a band that I play in :-)

Very special thanks. On my Cubase, I didn't had the right settings. Without your video, I could have tried tings for weeks for nothing. Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks !!!!!

Thank you so much for this video Robert. The "Use existing tracks" in Logic Pro (vs. the initial "Create New Tracks") for importing WAV files #2 & #3 solved my problem. I was getting 96 tracks (3 X 32) because it kept creating new tracks. What a frustrating nightmare. After that everything worked beautifully.
BTW: what is the name of the band that is playing in the background. The recording sounds great!

When we load the files into Cubase 4 & 8 it works and will play back, but it will not give you usable wave files if you attempt to save. The tracks appear normal from the saved file but will either peg or not give any audio signal at all. Audacity seems to be the only program that works but can't seem to find the snap to grid function. Suggestions?

In Logic X, 16 and 32 tracks expand every time, but i'm yet to work out how to expand 8 tracks. Any ideas?

@@robertcroftguitar6060 I'm running into the exact same problem. Logic & Garageband both don't recognize the file and import is as a surround sound file for me. I opened in Audacity and everything was there. I might use it as a workaround to then import those individual files into Logic. Stinks that you would need an extra step but it's my only way to access right now.

you didn't explain how to expand in logic. you literally finished the tutorial without giving us enough information. if you go back and try and play it in logic, nothing happens. no audio. the waveforms aren't even there. how do you expand the tracks in logic?!!
