A three part series on this 1/16th scale RC Tamiya tiger I mid production build. This is part 1 where I go over the model at the start of the build, and talk about some of the repairs and changes that were made to the model. This model is a commission build and was supplied by the customer for me to repair / convert the model to the way you see it in the video.
The model was converted to a Mid Production tiger I that was commanded by Tiger ace Otto Carius

Great video. Maybe you should invest in a battery operated turn table.

the original radio that was installed was replaced with a 2.4ghz system. With the new system they have short stubby antennas

oddball759mm tracks, turret and gears. you should have bought the torro tiger instead. Better quality

@@Lexus-ce4ug the tracks, sprockets and idlers are metal, the wheels are on metal bushings so its metal on metal. I'm not a fan of the metal turret, IMO it adds too much weight on an unsupported plastic upper hull. You don't really gain anything from it. Detail wise the tamiya is better than the torro / taigen version

oddball759mm it really isn’t that heavy tbh besides the metal hull is going to come soon

IMO the metal turret is a solution looking for a problem. It does make it harder to work on with drilling holes / adding details. same is true for the metal hull. It's more or less a novelty
