I figured a "Welcoming to tanking" video was well due, so here you are. This is for the new people to the hobby, for those who are totally new. This shows what to do when you get a tank, how to bind, what things do, etc.

This is my first rc tank. Got it last year.Detail on it is fantastic.I watched the introduction vedio before hand.Since then I have bought 3 more.Thank you Erick for turning me on to this new hobby.
Anytime my friend! Also for the Tiger 1 you can refer to our Tiger 1 Kit manual as it will have EVERY piece of the tank in it and how to build it from scratch. This should also help with diagnosing any problems as well. All are HD graphics with easy to read English instructions. Happy tanking!
OMG, so glad I found this video, I bought this tank many years ago, mostly just left it as a cool displace in my living room. I recently try to start it up again and completely forgotten how to put the battery back in... and of course the Manual which comes with the tank incorrectly shown there's a cover at the bottom of the tank which can be lift up to access the battery bay... and there's a separate leaflet with picture pointing to "the switch for tank cover" - which I thought was just to access other electronics inside the tank. So of course there is no battery cover at the bottom of the tank, so I thought I suppose to remove all the screws at the bottom to remove the bottom plate completely, and ended up having tremendous trouble trying to remove the last 2 screws at the rear of the tank -- of course now I found out they are never to be removed... they are for adjusting track tension!!! I almost destroyed those 2 screws until I gave up and decided to look for instruction online, and glad I found your video! Man, why is it so hard to provide proper instruction in a product manual! Anyways, thank you very much! (Edit: LOL, just realized you are a channel from Taigen. Ok, take it as a feedback that please ensure you have clear and correct instruction manual to come with your product in the future.)

I intend to upgrade my heng long with taigen parts. The taigen plastic upper hull should fit with the upgraded metal lower hull right? I'll be modding mine to the late version hopefully.
Mine is the same albeit I went for the early type road wheels...great tank ..ideal as a door stop ha ha?
my heng long tiger 1 1/16 scale idler wheel/the wheel at the back. one of the wheels is further back than the other one, is that i problem i should worry about?
Mine showed up today but a plastic piece was broken off the rear. It was plastic part glued to metal chassis. What is a good glue to glue back on?
I got my tank now the exakt tank modell you showed in this video but where do i attach all the accessories? I know where they are supposed to be but how? Can or have you made an/a video about just that

Is the body made of metal?
Hi, just a question for you guys, I have the Taigen Tiger early mode years back and still works great, I need to upgrade to 2.4ghz but back to the question, what depth of water is safe for the standard, also mud.
I've always avoided the wet stuff but I want to have some fun.
No water amount is safe my friend. If you plan on getting it wet or muddy please waterproof your tank first. We do not offer these services but you can find tips online :)
What are the benefits for going with the Infrared version compared to the BB version? Personal preferences?
+The SpooKa It is all preference. If you have only one tank it is probably best to go with an airsoft tank rather than an infrared tank. If you have 2 or more tanks and someone to always play with then the infrared is the way to go :) Other than that is is pure preference just as you guessed.

how do you know what people turn off or not.
How do I lubricate the drive wheels and what is the best type of lubrication to use?
The drive wheels themselves do not need to be lubed, it is the gearboxes and tracks that need the attention. The gearboxes will thank you for the white lithium grease, it will be much easier to see when it needs to be changed as the grease will not be white anymore. For track links a drop or two of gear oil is ok but only if the track links start to kink or bind. Otherwise let them be.
I just got my Metal early Tiger and the first thing I did was break off the jack at the back, I guess I didn't grab the middle enough when I took it out of the box, Hahaha. It has good weight. There is a metal tab that is supposed to go on the commanders turret to hold the hatch when it is open? am I right, the manual is not very good, this video is a world better. How do you put the rear mud flaps on? I got one on but then I broke the left rear one. There has to be a trick I am missing. I can't find the scale antenna anywhere in the box. Is that something I buy separate? The inside of the tank is nice well built. The gears are nice and tough. The tank came with the two sets of 3 smoke throwers that go on the turret but there are other plastic ones. Where do those go? Is there a trick to separate the upper hull from the lower one to get by the exhaust? I like how the inside you have access to everything. When I was a kid I always wanted a radio controlled tank, but all my parents got me was a radio controlled bulldozer. My dad told me it was the same thing, because it has treads. Now I have a radio controlled tank. I am glad I got the metal version, besides the minor problems I am having it works great.
Congrats on the tank! Check our website at www.taigentanks.com for the latest revisions of the manuals. Most of them should be shipping already :) The antenna is no longer included as we use a 2.4GHz system. The other smoke dischargers go on the upper hull. If you check the newest manual it should show where to put them all too. If you have any other problems or questions send me an email on our website, I'm much faster to respond there. With mine I have a problem with the tracks one is looser than the other I took them off and checked to see if one is longer but they are both the same length is there anyway I can fix this?

When you load the batteri how long can't hold the batteris? 15 min or 50 min
+dovydas totoraitis The stock batteries last anywhere from 15-25 minutes depending on the model. We now have 3000 and 5000mAh batteries that extend the runtime to upwards of an hour.

I have your metal Tiger 1 early version. Looks great and in terain there is unstoppable. But I have question. it;s problem make turret rotation and barrel elevation mechanism more rigid? During shot (with track recoil) and during drive in terain, barrel shake like poodle in winter. Large, plastic upper hull without any reinforcement is too little solid for metal turret weight. In some cases it is clear to see how it bends under the weight of turret. And turret rotation and barrel elevation is the same. Barrel have near 2cm free move on end, and with the turret it is possible to move to the sides.
I like your tanks and I hope, Tiger isn't my last. But this is only thing, that bothers me.
ATREY178 Barrel elevation can be adjusted by changing the spring on the inside of the turret or swapping to a servo based system and aftermarket electronics. The sag in the hull I have not had any issues with but I'm sure could be braced with a piece of stock pretty easily. Are you driving in lots of heat? I drive here in Florida all the time and it is blistering hot and I have yet to have major issues. Please send me an email at imex@taigentanks.com and I'll see what I can do to help :)
I have everything all attached and it is all set. The smoke housing screws were stripped out, but I was able to Mickey Mouse it. It is nice that the tank is designed to allow the user to work on it. It is so nice to be able to have access to the components. The smoke unit really throws out the smoke and it does it quick. I figured it would be like my Lionel train, it takes a minute to heat up, but it starts quickly. It makes me want to shell out the $800,000 to get a 1 to 1 scale replica made, Hahha
There was a 1:4 scale out a few months ago on eBay for I think like $50,000. It fit inside a 2 car garage... Man I wish I would of saved that photo, the tank looked so out of place in a suburban neighborhood!
Many websites have 1/4 or 1/6th scale tanks most around 8000

+Taigen tanks really it's only 30 around where I live and you can buy heavier American tanks with working main at the local gun shop they have things like chaffee's for sale but slightly more and with the appropriate license for the weapons on the tank

What type of battery u guys recommend for this Taigen Tanks the one that came with the tank its very low quality and wont want to charge anymore. I have the tank with the stock electronics.
I've had good luck with Oynx over the years, doesn't break the bank either! You can find a 5000mAh for around $35-40 which is 2.5 times the stock capactity!

Is there any warranty on these? And do they break just like rc cars or they last a long time?
Chris Flaherty they will last the rc trucks and cars are made of a very fine plastic that will break easaly and have cheep motors that don't last very long the tank tho is made of hard plastic body metal tracks and built to last modors and a very strong battery but depending on how its treated I would recommend ages 10 up for kids playing with this espesualy with airsoft
is it possible to upgrade the turret from the 320 degree version to the full 360 turning variant?
You can attach the 360 degree cogwheel... but you must turn the turret back to the Same Position, or you will damage the cables/Mainboard.

Got a generation one Taigen German Tiger1 tank last weekend and the gun wont stop firing. Every time I turn it on the speaker keeps firing and the tank recoils over and over again any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Yea check the contact switch on the firing unit. You can find a video here: ruclips.net/video/isKaNdsuN0Y/видео.html The IR version is almost the same, the contact switch works the same. Try to separate it a bit, this will stop the constant firing. Open it too much and there will be no recoil. It is very easy to adjust :)

They are not installed out of the box. They do however come in the accessory kit with the tank and you can install them yourself :)

What is the max voltage the tank will take (will it take a 3 cell lipo (11.1 volts))
tankkiller308 The tanks use a 6 cell NiMh battery at 7.2V. A 7.4V 2 cell LiPo can be use but ONLY if a low voltage alarm is used as well. Do not attempt to run 3 cell unless you want to buy new electronics :)

Around 15-25 minutes depending on your drive style
Is there a way to waterproof the tank?
+Heroic539 On the Tiger 1 there are a lot of holes to the inside of the tank through the suspension and the lower hull. The easiest way to waterproof is to make a waterproof container inside of the tank yourself. Some tanks are easier to waterproof than others but none of them come waterproof from the factory.

Same, same but diffelent. You can tell the Taigen is more expensive made. But still a lot of parts are interchangeable. That is nice.
Taigen/Torro are made from modified Heng Long/Mato moulds and Asiatam chassis's and recoil units.
