The % point swings are one thing. But the fact that so many Americans still regard Trump as a viable option for President is the most worrying thing about contemporary America.

The assassination attempts may not affect the polling data in an observable way, but it's possible that they will cause a psychological association (Trump=trouble) that could affect voter turnout.
People are supporting trump on the economy because they have nostalgia about things back then. But economists are saying his plans are bad for the economy, but let's not bring that up
