This might be the best audition of all time on AGT. It was everything. It was like a cleansing ritual performed for all the strong emotions that hit us all when Nightbirde had to go. It was intimate and all was on the table - nothing hidden. Terry with his big heart, all of the judges, Simon's broken heart and perhaps above all, the compassionate and honest audience screaming their emotions out. What a gesture to give the audience the power to give a golden buzzer. It was an enchanted experience. And Mzansi... beautiful humans who performed perfectly and carried themselves with so much wisdom, grace and sweetness. The way they looked, the way they sounded and moved and how abruptly the song ended, just like sweet Jane's life... omg, I'm crying as I'm typing this. An unforgettable and incomparable event. Everyone's compassion brought so much fate and hope for our world and humanity. Thank you, Mzansi, audience, AGT and thank you 💖Nightbirde💖.

Nightbirde is a true legend. I think this was her life’s purpose. Maybe she didn’t live what we think was a full life into her 70s or 80s or whatever age but she did accomplish her life’s purpose. Inspiring others and spreading hope. I don’t think she knew the full extent of what she did that even after AGT. The most beautiful thing about humans is we carry on memories and the feeling of hope and feelings that transcend even death.
I hope everyone in the world treats each other with kindness no matter what and have hope for a better tomorrow just like Nightbirde hoped for and inspired others to believe in.

Totally agree. The song itself was going to evoke memories and emotions but the way the choir performed it, the harmonies, all have such beautiful voices. I have listened to it soo many times. Beautiful tribute but also an outstanding choir.

Feeling the love from this choir in this tribute is why I can't stop crying! The silence after Jane(Nightbirde) sang it was from the power of the song. The roar from the audience after this choir's version is from the power of the tribute. One of the greatest auditions in AGT history!

As an African American, I am proud of my young brothers and sisters from the motherland who are beautiful, sang powerful, and heavenly. Used a beautiful and powerful song from a beautiful and powerful and inspiring woman. You all made time stop and me feel a moment of hope, harmony, peace, and love that seems non-existent in America. For one moment, there was just love from all who heard and saw. And this is how God wants us to be. In love and harmony together simultaneously!

I remember "Nightbirde" after her Golden Buzzer saying, while smiling, about how long she had to live and that she had a 2% chance, but that it wasn't nothing-still being so positive. Mzansi's tribute to this incredibly brave woman, who passed with such grace, was just stunningly beautiful, not only the way they sang the song but the choreography as well. I've watched this over and over even knowing it will bring tears-that's how well done this performance was. "You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore until you decide to be happy" (Nightbirde) I actually wrote that on a Postit and put in on my mirror. Thank you Mzansi for the song and for reminding me of that inspiring advice by Nightbirde.

As a professional musician and survivor, Jayne's story and audition really hit a nerve with me. I truly mourned when she passed as I was a fan of her music, lyrics and spirit. The interpretation, arrangement and choreography of this group of extremely gifted singers/musicians is by far one of the most incredible things I've witnessed on AGT.

Everything about this performance...the vocal arrangement and how the women really led the front, but the male voices were so incredibly important...and the choreography was simply amazing and a big part of the performance as well. The movement was so much a part of the music. The exuberance of the last section...expressing that 'it's alright!' in physical form. Just a brilliant performance all around.

The tribute was beautiful. The sentiment powerful. One thing I can't help but notice is how beautiful and powerful this particular arrangement of the song is. The musicianship they displayed is even harder when the song is so emotional.
The message. The song. The performance. They may even win this competition, but THIS is the moment the world will remember and be touched by for years to come
