Just something to think about with these kinds of games. The energy you produce from the initial gear is never increased or lost in this system, the energy creates two things, speed and torque, you can decrease speed for more torque and visa versa but not both at the same time.
Torque and speed aren't "conserved" like that, no?
If torque increases and the MOI of the gear remains constant, then the rotating force acting on the gear increases, leading to a higher angular velocity
@@yugdalwadi3146I think they mean kinetic energy (expressed here in the form of angular velocity) is conserved, not that torque and speed are always conserved.
But the initial torque IS constantly increased due to upgrades, so increasing speed is possible by compounding. This allows the cogs to turn more often, thus increasing profits (such as more rotations from the golden gear)
Unless the game is smart enough to account for friction, but I doubt it

This might help. The ratios are what you should look at. That .22 ratio means that for every 1 rotation of the bfg will rotate the small gear 5 times. It's similar to a bicycle.
You could also run a crescent moon shape with small gears along the giant one. Have off shoots every 2 to 4 along the moon shape that touches the giant gear. Should get it moving.
.22 is a tad less than 1:5
