Anyone else watching in 2022? I graduated HS in 1989, Miami kid. I share all our old school hip hop and house music with them, but they will never truly know how freaking cool it was to be a teenager in the 80's
I cute CLASS after I WON my Tickets from WBLS 2 see this SHOW I am on the floor I see myself and the Brooklyn Crew ... Loved OUR days at THE APOLLO... DOPE Teenage Years were so DOPE!!!! ... Doug E always Smashed the show ... Ain't NO Half Stepping!!! The Get Fresh Crew.
Unbeatable. the real live SHOW. and Keep Risin to the Top... who sees the ladies wiping away tears and flipping out at how FINE Doug E Fresh is? amazing footage, thank you for uploading it. like he said: "..no need to swear.."
This is what we know as Real Classic Hip Hop. In the 80's mostly all the artist was a real MC on the mic with a real DJ cuttin live. But now seems like in these days the real hip hop MC's have disappeared. Only thing now is copy cat rappers sounding all the same monotone mumbling none sense and the lyrics sound as if they came out of a Dr. Suess Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes Book. Old Skool 80's in the 21st Century would revitalize hip hop. Great upload!!!
Why the hell can't i dance like that?!Doug E,you guy's made hip hop hella fun, turned out shows...We all bought into gangsta rap but im sure most of us regret it but i definitely will never forget the get fresh crew!
I was born in 85 so i didnt quite get to experience this form of hip hop FULLY, the furthest i can remember back is like, the NWA days, Eazy E was my first favorite rapper, But to see this is amazing, bcuz i am now a Hip hop artist, and times have changed drastically, It looked like FUN back in this era...Also after researchin Doug E, I have to say, he is hella underrated...I mean sure i've heard of him, and i even knew he beatboxed, but i didnt realize he was this nice (For that time)
This for all the young folk out there wondering what's going on? Why is he dancing and trying to be different? This is why, it happened to a lot of rap artists at the same time. Search LL cool J dancing, or Run DMC SONG " Pause" 🤔 Let's Get It Started is the second studio album and major-label studio album debut by hip hop artist M.C. Hammer, released on September 28, 1988 by Capitol Records and EMI Records. The album went double platinum with "Pump It Up", "Let's Get It Started", "Turn This Mutha Out"
