I understand why you enjoy that flea market so much. Shopping in the grass and trees is an ambiance that is so relaxing. It puts your mind in the right place. What a shame
I hate when they mess with a good flea market. I was fooled by a reproduction strand once. It was In a dark basement at an estate sale. They are very authentic looking though.
I agree. It's no fun in the heat without trees. Every year I would go to my county fair to sit under the trees and watch the horses. Well they expanded the arena, took out all the trees then put thick planks up along the side so even if I were to bring in my chair I couldn't see all the action. So sad and haven't been back since.
The 4 photos are all daguerreotypes.....when you have to see the image in a reflection, they're dags. Never try to clean them, it will destroy them. It's a thin film of silver and they're easily ruined. When I look at them I can't help but think how I'm looking at the face of someone captured in time 180 years ago. Daguerreotypes were made in the 1840s and 50's.

The reproduction was glass and looked identical to the one I picked up. Not much difference at all. It would be easy to be fooled.
