The best video on this topic!
Came for Maryland’s city and I wasn’t disappointed
Yea he pretty much skipped over Maryland in his Worst Cities video too..
Easton MD where the DC big shots retire
Don't forget what he said about New York
Yeah I was waiting for which city he chose in Maryland but wait I'm still waiting.
Ocean city ?
Maryland: anything but Baltimore
Me: that sounds about right
pg county and worchester not it and some parts of the eastern shore got slaughter houses
The capital of Soutb Dakota, Pierre, is pronounced like "Pier"
-Someone from South Dakota
Email me I need to talk to someone from SD for a video ;)
As someone Born in Sioux Falls and who grew up in Lead and Deadwood I agree. Maybe because there were a lot of Germans there but "Pierre" is a French word, and I always heard it pronounced "Peer" up there.
@@Sp1der44 ah nice, my dad was born and raised in Lead!
@@jordans7028 Cool! Its a small world! especially in Lead! :D
“Pier” is correct -I was there!
Left out the most important fact about bend Oregon. Last remaining blockbuster
Also the rising homeless problem. There are streets filled with homeless campers out near Lowes now.
Yeah I live in bend and the homeless problem is getting bad. The cost of living is just going up here too. Rent is getting terrible if you can find a place and the city is not built for the growth it is seeing. The only jobs are tourism based..
Homeless creeping into Vancouver now, too. What ticks me off is the garbage they just throw everywhere. I mean, you don't do anything all day so pick up your $#@®©% garbage.
@@gailcirac8222 I always wonder why we aren't paying the homeless to pick up garbage, they need jobs, and we need the garbage picked up, so why not pay them to pick it up.
@@StriderGTS I guess Portland is paying their homeless to pick up garbage now😊
Nick, I’m just recently diving into your videos and loving them. You may have already made a similar one, but I’m sure people would enjoy a look at strange, charming obscure little towns. That may have been too many adjectives.
Michael - I have some on small towns you have to dig through the dusty volumes :)
In my experience when people say "I hate drama" or "I avoid drama" they are typically the "drama"
Totes
@@NickJohnson What does Totes mean?
i think he means drama = liberal politics
I love drama I just try to make sure I’m not the center of it 🤣🤣🤣
That's so exactly right. Just like the person that goes around saying everybody talks too much. He's the problem.
I think you nailed your pick for PA.
I lived in State College, PA for several years and it's probably the "nicest" town I've ever lived in.
They call it "Happy Valley" for a reason.
😃
"If I worked there I wouldn't even pack a lunch" 🤣🤣 This guy is hilarious.
I live in Ashland Ohio.We have a population of a little over 20,000.Average price of a home is 113,000.Columbus is only an hour south and Cleveland is an hour north. We are in Amish country. It’s nice and quiet here and life is in the slow lane but every is super sweet here.Come visit us sometime.❤️💖😊
sounds GREAT
Yeah it also have a very small minority population who probably wouldn't be welcome anyway. 😠 👎
@@worldtipper so now people can’t even talk about their town without someone like you making it about race 🙄 you just assume that minorities aren’t welcome because you’d rather be negative.
My favorite was Huron along Eerie
@@worldtipper why does that even matter who looks at race to decide where to live? And you assume they wouldnt be welcomed without even going there stop being ignorant
Yay Nick! Love your videos ❤️. Thanks for educating us😃
YAY :)
The content we need and deserve.
Not me who just spent 21 minutes watching best cities in usa although I don’t live there👁👄👁totally worth it though
I do these type of videos whenever I cant sleep.
I have done best states/ best counties/ect.
And I am from Israel and not planning on travel for another 10 years LMAO
Same here bros 🤣🤣🤣 I'm thinking about it tho ✌🏻✌🏻
Same
21/1.75 minutes
Totally worth it. I wanna move to the Us and live in one of those cities
Good Afternoon, Nick Johnson.
Paterson best city
Hey there!
@@dominicboss5273 Paterson of new jersey fame ,ie the Garden state but jersey brings camden to mind i guess?
Thanks for another informative video. The Blue Bunny ice cream phone operator was nice. 👌🏾
She was sweet
I’m intrigued by what you will say for New York State! Watching now in suspense!!
Thank you for video ! Very interesting.
I just moved a year or so ago to Batesville Arkansas. I love it here there's mountains on the outskirts I guess that's why he says it's in the middle of nowhere and the people are absolutely the friendliest you'll ever meet
You forgot to mention that Hanover NH is where Dartmouth College is.
Thanx Nick for making me smile in a really crappy time. Keep it up. I'm sure you make a lot of people smile. Travel on✊😀
Patti ❤️😘 you're gonna be just fine soon promise :)
Thank You Nick 😊
I've only been to Sarasota before, and it's nice. I really haven't been anywhere at all in the US that I didn't like too much.
I’m a Washingtonian. It’s kind of cool there, so as someone who’s been other places (ok, only like 12 states) it’s fine
Interesting content, as always!
My favorite topic with subtle comedy
Thanks Nick!
Hey thanks for all the work you put into your video to help improve families!
No problem!
Came here for Nevada, finally someone picks something outside the Las Vegas Valley!
FINALLLLLLY
Sparks is an absolute dump though.
Reno is so close to hell you can see Sparks!
@@stalkinghorse883 HAHA! Yep! I put that saying in my own comment!
@@StageRight123 I've only been in downtown Sparks, and it did seem kind of dumpy, but I'm guessing it's nicer as you go further North. I was born and raised in Las Vegas and still live here. It's a shithole. We are attracting a different type of crowd now, you can check out the fights on youtube for more info. Maybe it's because the Raiders are here now. Californians have absolutely ruined this city (though to be fair the higher class Californians have made our food options better). Can't wait to retire and get out of this shithole. The only good thing is we didn't have a lot of senseless rioting here last summer. People are still somewhat levelheaded. But I see that changing in 20 years.
Can confirm, Youngsville, LA is a growing and nice place. Although i'd still call it a suburb of Lafayette. Lafayette is actually a pretty great city (around 120k pop, and 250k counting the whole parish). Growing university, fast growing city, getting companies from the tech industry, lots of quality medical jobs, many safe neighborhoods, and a distinct Cajun Culture that unifies the area.
Eh I'll hold my breath before giving Youngsville a chance. It's improving. But I still wouldn't wanna be there right now. And I'm in Lafayette almost every day. Not much better.
Great video. Great cities change every 2 months.
Enjoying your channel. Can handle your honesty sarcasm and humor. Being real in your own way. I've lived mostly in Ohio. Awhile in Nevada/Vegas and Florida/near cape Canaveral.
You have some cool places you've lived. Is Ohio the worst or was it Nevada?
Hey I live in Franklin, TN!! I love it here :)))
Nick!!!
I can’t help it, your videos make me laugh so hard. My belly hurt from laughing. Thank you for making another awesome youtube video.
❤️ wherever you live is the best place to live Sunny :)
@@NickJohnson Thank you! 😊
I live in North Carolina, your fave!
But, moving to Arizona where it’s hot as Hell. 😁
Thanks for the video
I just can say THANK YOU !! We learn a lot from your documentaries.
Ok! ❤️❤️
Hope I can get to America soon 🙂 Hi Nick. Nice video again. Greetings from PH🇵🇭
Hey come see us!
Hope you’re staying safe and taking care of yourself thoughout all this Nick.
yes brian. are you?
@@NickJohnson I am, thank you for still creating awesome content during this whole ordeal. I missed the time you came to Toronto, I would’ve shown you around and take you out to lunch or dinner for coming to my hometown.
Thanks Nick Johnson!!! ❤️
ok james king!!!
Keep up the good work
Everytime I visit Nashville I get a hotel in franklin and hands down my dream town I would live in. I l'm from the Memphis TN area and you wouldn't even think we are in the same state.
I’m born and raised in Ohio and I can agree with Dublin. Also a honorable mention Chagrin Falls. Absolutely beautiful small town. Downtown is small but full of life and the nature surrounding it is gorgeous. Just outside Cleveland’s eastside suburbs!
Love the songs, Nick!
Great videos. Keep up the great work Nick. Love your channel.
As someone who lives in Aurora, right by Naperville, it’s where I spend most of my time since it’s so great there, instead of not-so great Aurora. Happy that Naperville made the list, honestly an amazing place!
I figured that Naperville would make the list. I had plans to move to Naperville about 8 years ago but it didn't pan out.
I live there and its kinda boring and there’s a meth lab near one of the schools
A meth lab in Naperville? I find that very hard to believe. I've lived there 3 times in my life and LOVE it there.
A friend I went to college with grew up in Claremont. I remember going to his place once to work on a project and he told me to park in the driveway because the HOA would have any cars towed that were parked on the street after 8pm. You could say it was a very clean neighborhood.
Mean HOA!!
Your videos are very interesting. I look forward to each one.
Hi Karen!
Good job Nick man, like always !
Moved to the Plano area from NYC back in 2008, and love it here. Actually live in Allen, but work in Plano, and any surrounding town (McKinney, Frisco, Celina, Melissa, Anna, Lucas) is amazing. Great place to raise a family, and still has some night life if you are into that. Plus Dallas is less than an hour drive south for all the big sports/entertainment. Definitely Trump country (which I love), but at least half my friends (and wife and oldest daughter) are hippie/liberal types, and we get along pretty well here. Great vid, keep them coming. :)
I'll bet!
@@NickJohnsonshout out for the Garry Shandling Show theme parody ❤
Hey, my hometown made the list! Hanover, NH. Great place to grow up. Wouldn't call it sleepy though, there is plenty to do. Being a college town, Dartmouth, there are always plenty of cultural and sporting events going on. No nightclubs because all the college students party in the fraternities. The movie "Animal House" was based largely on writer Chris Miller's experiences while going to school at Dartmouth.
well sleepy from a BIG city
@@NickJohnson - Well that's true! But Hanover does feel bigger than it is, mostly due to the Dartmouth influence.
Love your videos!
Great videos, thanks!
You da man Nick 🙌
Yay! Fargo made it! Though, to be fair, I guess I don't mind Bismarck as well. The gossipy nature that you mentioned of the small towns is there, but I think that's what happens when you live in a place where everyone knows everybody.
You actually stayed on key during the song. I'm proud of you.
Finally!
Good to hear from you, Nick. I like your channel.
I like you!!
Another great video Nick, also Sarasota,FL is a place I’ve never been to in Florida infancy let alone the west coast part of state or panhandle.
Hey nick and mappy family
Have a happy weekend👍👍
You too!
I was surprised you chose Whitefish Bay for a great place to live in Wisconsin. I thought for sure you would have given Madison a thumbs up, considering it's very similar to Ann Arbor, Michigan.
i liked madison too!
Thanks for putting sparks nevada on your best cities to live. Been here over26 years. Local restaurants, bars and other places to visit are the best for our community.
Your videos are great and your singing is hilarious 🤣🤣
LaMars Iowa used to have a small college, which I believe was now closed. My best friend went there and his dad went there too. His grandparents were farmers in LeMars and it definitely seemed like Mayberry. I went back there for his college graduation in 96 and all I remembor is a blizzard, about 3' of snow, seeing the Blue Bunny factory and getting food poisoning on the drive. I got to stay in the hotel while everyone was out having fun celebrating his graduation....🤣.
Hi @Nick Johnson Can you do video about the top 10 small cities or towns for young singles?
i did one for women ruclips.net/video/aBy8DorH6kM/видео.html and single people ruclips.net/video/T3LbwYw1QEM/видео.html
@@NickJohnson thank you 😊
Nice topic and video Nick!
Good job Nick
😘❤️
Alot of these cities were featured on From Here to There's Best Cities/Towns lists
he’s a shitty copycat of world according to briggs, honestly can’t stand him
Honestly some of these choices aren’t bad, but I would want him to reconsider the Ohio pick, part of the plan to kidnap Michigan’s Governor was planned in Dublin
@@sigmaballsnetwork those people were mostly from michigan. not dublin. anyways you could probably pick any northern columbus suburb. powell, westerville, new albany, upper arlington and worthington are also nice
*t p o t*
Ketchikan, Alaska. If you move there, I hope you like rain! The city averages over 150” of rain a year, about four times that of Seattle.
Isn’t that the same for the entirety of southern Alaska? I personally love rain so it wouldn’t bother me too much.
I found my dream place.
Great video Nick. I did learn something and that was about a good place up North. I'm an Arizonian who lives in a small town in N AZ, and it's quaint here, but it's growing here like crazy! I enjoy watching your videos Nick so keep at it 😁. We'll put up with the singing 🤣.
noted.
Good information
Plano TX has grown super fast! The schools are bursting with students and not building schools fast enough and the traffic. Grapevine TX is right inbetween Dallas Fort Worth, its next to airport, cute downtown and Grapevine lake.
yeah get in now anna.
plano is bourgeoisie
That’s where Frito Lay is headquartered.
Louisiana’s Lafayette is like laugh-e-ette. From a Mississippian where we have 2 more pronunciations of the word too lol
I almost moved to Lafayette. LOVE that place.
Lived in Lafayette and I loved it there. My husband and I have talked about moving back one day.
Most catchy song to date 👏🏼
Waynesboro, VA is situated right in the middle of the Blue ridge mountains. Was just up there hiking today. Absolutely gorgeous!
My dad worked for Schwans in Iowa. They use blue bunny factory to make their ice cream. When they go to clean the machines, he said the employees at BB do take whatever ice cream they scrape from it home (the schwans). Pretty cool setup. Idk if that’s true but it’s what they told him.
Omg I'd be so fat if I worked there
I lived in Naperville IL for 15 years it was great place to live the schools are really great
Dad ?
I like your voice, and I have enjoyed your videos just on the point.
You do great videos.
I try
I grew up in Los Alamos, NM. Best childhood EVER.
cool lisa!
My son loves it there. Has the lowest covid rate in the state.
I really appreciate your top 10 worst places to live. The way you described them was perfect. You describe no easterners. I burned the roads to get there and I'm very happy.
love your work live from Fayetteville nc
Hey that's like an hour away!
Feyettenam
Your videos are informative and also make me laugh. Lol
The one in Kentucky really surprised me. Any place with the word "gardens" in its name are usually really dangerous places.
true
Cherokee Gardens is one of the fancier older neighborhoods and quite safe. Some of the houses from the 1930s are palatial. That said, the entire center of gravity of richer Louisville keeps shifting northeast and away from the old city core.
How did he not choose Lexington, Berea, or Asbury? Lol
State College PA is great place. Alot of college students though. Expensive rent prices because of college. I want to live there so I've done my research. I also work there part time on my days off. Looking for full time job in the area. Bellefonte is a smaller town only 6 miles from state college and has much lower rents and is a very nice town as well. Boalsburg is also another option for those one a budget like me.
Yes great town and colleges may have far less students just like offices
@That's What She Said My dad lives in the poconos and states that area is being flooded with people from NY and NJ.
I love your videos, Nick. Your light hearted humor is great, thanks ❤😄
It took me 20 minutes to figure out what show that theme was from. Love your humor Nick.
wow I live in eastern Louisville, it's actually quite peaceful
Some of suburban of Cincinnati is pretty good like Indian Hill, Hyde Park, Newtown, Mariemont, Anderson, Kenwood. I will feel totally safe if I live in one of the areas listed above.
Thanks Nick for mentioning Youngsville,La
is that where you're from Mary?
@@NickJohnson I live in the Lafayette area but I'm in the process of buying a home there
Love your videos ❤
aww ruby love you!
11:36 I would say Henderson in Southern Nevada instead of Sparks, but that’s just me
I live in Franklin, Indiana but I've heard of Jasper and hear it's pretty nice.
Jasper is a darling town, I live down by Evansville
Thanks for another great video Nick! My Dad played college basketball with a guy from Lemars Iowa...about 70 years ago. I love seeing Mappy. Why is he always flipping the bird?
cause he's RUDE
Well knock him around a little bit and straighten him out. I do love me happy though.
Darn audio txt... I meant that I do love Mappy even if he is rude.

I would say Cannon Beach is the best town in Oregon. But expensive 😣
All the towns on the coast of Oregon are amazing and I also like hood river
I drive for Uber part time in State College. It’s a great town if you don’t mind a little riff raff at 2:00 am on a Saturday
I love working in state college do doordash and instacart part time looking for full-time job so I can move to the area. Love Happy Valley
I heard that State College, PA is nice place to live.
Needed A lift...Hey Nick & Mappy💖💖💖
I LOVE that light aqua room your in.
my wife picked that color out. sorta seafoamy :)
I lived in Claremont for two years, and then moved to Connecticut, where I worked in Darien for two years.
wow!
My husband lived in Whitefish Bay! It’s gorgeous, especially driving past the beautiful homes on the main lake road.
i would live there for summers.
"The searchers all say they'd made Whitefish Bay if they'd put 15 more miles behind 'er." 🎶
@@susanhowell1673 There's a Shipwreck Museum there, which has the bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Love the opening song--made me laugh out loud.
I'm from Batesville! w00t That was a nice shot of Main Street & the old Landers theater lol
Really nice? Id love to move from OKC, OK...looking for a nice place. So what is near to Batesville as in other cities?
I'm from New Jersey. Springdale is not a town or city but a section of Cherry Hill. Cherry Hill as a whole isn't bad but the east half of town which includes Springdale is more desirable and expensive.
Ridgefield Connecticut
Marlboro is a great little city in Massachusetts, as is Hudson. Still expensive though!

I live in Franklin and I can say it has grown tremendously and is not really even that small it is actually now like 85,000 residents because it is becoming increasingly urban. Great video btw.
Hey Gabe!
You sound like Donnie baker and I cracked up the whole video while also learning something. You won me, subbed 🤙
Donnie Baker that guy is the only good part of Bob and Tom
